Abstract: The present invention relates to a medical device having a transparent region and a label wherein a hot stamping film is located on the transparent region; and a thermal transfer film that in turn has a label is located on the hot stamping film, with the label having a different color than the hot stamping film. The invention furthermore relates to a method of applying a label to a medical device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a dialysis filter comprising fluorine-containing hollow fiber membranes, the fluorine-containing hollow fiber membranes being made by a method comprising at least steps (A) to (C): (A) preparing a spinning solution comprising an aprotic solvent, a hydrophobic base polymer, a hydrophilic polymer, and a fluorine-comprising surface modifying macromolecule in a concentration less than 1.12% w/w; (B) extruding said spinning solution from an outer annular orifice through a tube-in-orifice spinneret into an aqueous solution, and (C) isolating the formed hollow fiber membrane, characterized in that the manufacturing of the dialysis filter comprises a steam sterilization procedure. Abstract: The invention relates to a device having a two-component drip edge. One side of the drip edge is formed by a material having an attractive behavior with respect to a liquid and the opposite side of the drip edge is formed from a material having a repulsive behavior with respect to the liquid. This design yields an improved drip effect.
