  • Publication number: 20240084988
Abstract: An illumination device for vehicles is provided, and includes a headlamp with an imaging unit for generating a multitude of light pixels that can be actuated individually. The headlamp also includes a lens unit containing a lens arrangement with a number of lenses arranged in a fixed manner to each other. The light pixels of the imaging unit can be mapped to focused light spots at a specified distance. The headlamp also includes an actuator unit for actuating the imaging unit. A first lens unit of a first headlamp is different from a second lens unit of a second headlamp such that the light pixels of the imaging unit of the first headlamp and the second headlamp are mapped to be focused at different distances.

  • Patent number: 8566082
Abstract: A method for determining a speech quality measure of an output speech signal with respect to an input speech signal, wherein the input signal passes through a signal path of a data transmission system resulting in the output signal, includes the steps of pre-processing the output signal; determining at least one of an interruption rate of the pre-processed output signal and a measure for an intensity of musical tones present in the pre-processed output signal; and determining the speech quality measure from at least one of the interruption rate and the measure for the intensity of the musical tones.

  • Patent number: 8531531
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for estimating a quality of an audio-video signal includes calculating audio and video quality factors from audio and video technical characteristics. An audio-video quality factors interaction is computed from an interaction between the audio and video quality factors. At least one of an audio quality, a video quality and an audio-visual quality is computed using the audio and video quality factors and the audio-video quality factors interaction.
