  • Patent number: 8112747
Abstract: The disclosure provides integrated software for supporting a distributed business application comprising computer readable instructions embodied on media. The integrated support software is operable to automatically monitor the distributed business application for potential incidents. It also facilitates continuous data exchange between the distributed business application and a remote support module based on the automatic monitoring, with the communications in a protocol associated with a plurality of services in the distributed business application and with a plurality of incidents for these services. Upon identification of a potential incident, the software provides integrated incident management in the distributed business application and provides software maintenance management to the distributed business application for one or more identified incidents.

  • Patent number: 8046755
Abstract: A computer-implemented method may include receiving first data that includes one or more configuration parameters that characterize an intended deployment of software and a target computer system on which the software is to be deployed. The computer-implemented method may further include calculating a deployment risk level based on the first data, determining whether the calculated deployment risk level is less than a threshold risk level, and transmitting second data to target computer system authorizing deployment of the software if the deployment risk level is less than the threshold risk level. In some implementations, the software is enterprise software. The one or more configuration parameters may include hardware specifications of the target computer system, and the calculated deployment risk level may be based on threshold recommended hardware specifications of the target computer for running the software to be deployed.

  • Publication number: 20070164849
Abstract: An incident message, including user-generated input data and collected context data both characterizing a state of a computing system may be received. Thereafter, the incident message may be assigned and routed to a key user based on the context data. The key user may then initiate an implementation of a solution to the incident message causing a solution message to be routed to the end user to notifying the end user of a solution to the incident message. Related apparatuses, methods, computer program products, and computer systems are also described.

  • Publication number: 20070156835
Abstract: A computer-implemented method may include executing, in a first computing system, two or more service processes, each service process, when executed, retrieving a distinct type of data from the computing system; storing the retrieved data in a table; encapsulating the table in an extensible markup language (XML) message; and transmitting the XML message to a second computing system for processing. The second computing system may be operable to extract the encapsulated table from the XML message, extract two or more data components from the extracted table and route the two or more data components to system components associated with the second computing system. The system components may include a first processor and a second processor. The first processor may generate follow-up data in response to one of the two or more data components, and the follow-up data may be responsive to the retrieved data.
