  • Patent number: 9601896
Abstract: The method comprises: detecting the positions (uo, vo) and (u1, v1) of said photonic beam (L) according to the coordinate axes X, Y on a first and second plane XY, which cut an optical axis X at a first and second point, respectively; comparing the results of said positional detections (uo, vo) and (u1, v1), and: if there are discrepancies which lie outside the margin of error (p), adjusting the angle of the photonic beam (L) according to the angle ? and/or the angle ? in order to overcome said discrepancies; or if there are no discrepancies which lie outside said margin of error (p), considering the angle of said photonic beam (L) as being properly adjusted. The system is adapted to implement the method set out by the invention.

  • Patent number: 9561920
Abstract: Printing devices include (and printing methods use) among other components, a processor, a printing engine operatively connected to the processor, a media supply tray operatively connected to the processor, etc. The media supply tray supplies sheets of media to the printing engine. The media supply tray has a light visible from the exterior of the printer. The processor controls the light to display different colors indicating different media loading conditions of the media supply tray. The different loading conditions can include a tray in use condition (indicated by the light displaying a first color); tray scheduled for use condition (indicated by the light displaying a second color); tray not in use condition (indicated by the light displaying a third color); tray empty condition, indicated by the light displaying a fourth color; etc.

  • Publication number: 20160330344
Abstract: According to exemplary document feeding devices disclosed herein, a transparent platen has a sheet side and a scanner side, opposite the sheet side. A scanner is located on the scanner side of the transparent platen. A document placing tray is located on the sheet side of the transparent platen and a document ejection tray is positioned above the document placing tray. The document placing tray is between the document ejection tray and the transparent platen. A ramp is located at an end of the transparent platen. A feeding path extends from the document placing tray through a scanning position on the transparent platen to the document ejection tray. The scanning position is adjacent to the end of the transparent platen. The feeding path comprises the ramp at the end of the transparent platen. The ramp turns the feeding path from the transparent platen toward the document ejection tray.

  • Patent number: 8947740
Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and apparatus for adjusting a light intensity of a printhead are disclosed. For example, the method receives an image comprising a plurality of pixels, calculates a correction factor for each one of a plurality of pixels of the image by applying a filter to each one of the plurality of pixels of the image and summing a contribution of the light intensity of each one of a plurality of surrounding pixels to a pixel being analyzed to calculate an overlap value and comparing the overlap value to a development threshold range and adjusts the light intensity of a light source of the printhead in accordance with the correction factor of each one of the plurality of pixels of the image that require toner.
