  • Patent number: 11937068
Abstract: An apparatus for reproducing a spatially extended sound source having a defined position and geometry in a space includes an interface for receiving a listener position; a projector for calculating a projection of a two-dimensional or three-dimensional hull associated with the spatially extended sound source onto a projection plane using the listener position, information on the geometry of the spatially extended sound source, and information on the position of the spatially extended sound source; a sound position calculator for calculating positions of at least two sound sources for the spatially extended sound source using the projection plane; and a renderer for rendering the at least two sound sources at the positions to obtain a reproduction of the spatially extended sound source having two or more output signals, wherein the renderer is configured to use different sound signals for the different positions.

  • Patent number: 11881829
    Abstract: Provided is a method for audio peak reduction using an all-pass filter, including: determining a delay parameter m and a gain parameter g based on a formula (1): arg ? min m , g max n ? "\[LeftBracketingBar]" y m , g ( n ) ? "\[RightBracketingBar]" , ( 1 ) absolute peak map Y ? ( m , g ) = max n ? "\[LeftBracketingBar]" y m , g ( n ) ? "\[RightBracketingBar]" , ym,g(n) represents a processed signal with a time-domain response function and is calculated based on a formula (2): ym,g(n)=(hs*x)(n)(2), where hs represents an impulse response function, x (n) represents an input signal, and hs is calculated based on formula (3): H S ( z ) = g + z - m 1 + gz - m . ( 3 ) This method is widely used in the reproduction, storage and broadcasting of sound, and the computational complexity is small, which is a supplement to the traditional nonlinear compression algorithm.

  • Patent number: 9961473
Abstract: An apparatus for generating a first multitude of output signals based on at least one audio source signal having a delay network and a feedback processor. The delay network includes a second multitude of delay paths, each delay path having a delay line and an attenuation filter. Each delay line is configured for delaying delay line input signals and for combining the at least one audio source signal and a reverberated audio signal to obtain a combined signal, wherein the attenuation filter of a delay path is configured for filtering the combined signal from the delay line of the delay path to obtain an output signal. The first multitude of output signals includes the output signal. The feedback processor is configured for reverberating the first multitude of output signals to obtain a third multitude of the reverberated audio signals including the reverberated audio signal.
