The pulse inverter includes a cooling device for cooling components of the pulse inverter by an electrically insulating cooling fluid flowing through the cooling device, wherein the cooling device includes a fluid-tight housing. Cooling fluid flowing through the fluid-tight housing is in direct contact with at least one of the components of the pulse inverter to be cooled. The cooling device includes a cooling channel. The power module is thermally connected to an outer surface of the cooling channel, wherein the cooling channel includes an output. The output opens into the fluid-tight housing, so that the cooling fluid flowing through the cooling device first flows through the cooling channel and subsequently the fluid-tight housing.

The heated air can be cooled in the region of the flow duct (34) and/or in the region of the cavity (23).
