Patent number: 9238887Abstract: A drying method in a dryer machine which involves sending a pulse according to a pulse pattern formed by: energizing each of a plurality of actuators of a heater for a first determined set time; de-energizing one actuator of the heater for a second determined set time; de-energizing another actuator of the heater for a third determined period of time; compare, during the previous steps, the temperature detected by a temperature detector versus a target value; in case the temperature detected is higher than the target value, interrupting a drive signal to drivers for the heater; in case the temperature detected is lower than the target value, uninterrupting the signal to the drivers; and repeat the previous steps at least one time.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2011Date of Patent: January 19, 2016Assignee: MABE, S.A. Patent number: 8725454Abstract: A method to compensate drying time in an electric or gas dryer machine, which comprises the steps of: read the operator parameters (dryness level, cycle type, heat level); begin a timer to measure time between beginning and Trtv; determine the load weight and the type of restrictions of the dryer; determine the dryness target voltage and the minimum drying time by means of a table of predetermined values based on the previous data; store the values in a memory; determine that the detected voltage be equal to the target voltage; calculate the additional time as a function of the heat factor and of the data previously determined; compare (Tminimum-Trtv) versus additional time and use the greater; and, add the additional time to the Trtv as compensation time.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2011Date of Patent: May 13, 2014Assignee: Mabe, S.A. Patent number: 7975401Abstract: A clothes dryer has a degree of dryness control system that is responsive to moisture level of clothing articles tumbling in a drum and a target moisture value to control the drying cycle of the clothes dryer. The clothes dryer has a load size parameter producing module and an air flow detection parameter module. These modules generate one of two parameter conditions used by the processor to modify or select an appropriate moisture target value. The load size producing parameter module generates one of a small load input parameter and a large load input parameter. The air flow detection module produces one of a first and second air flow parameter to be utilized by the degree of dryness processor. As a result, the processor selects one of four target moisture values from these conditions.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2007Date of Patent: July 12, 2011Assignee: Mabe Canada Inc.Inventor: Sébastien Beaulac

Publication number: 20090260256Abstract: A clothes dryer providing clothes care has a main controller operable with an outlet temperature sensor for receiving the outlet temperature values. The controller is operable with a heater to controllably raise the outlet temperature of air flowing out of a dryer drum above an outlet clothes care target temperature value whereupon the controller operates the heater to raise the outlet temperature to an overshoot temperature value. The clothes care temperature value is determined by a heat setting selected by a user. The overshoot temperature value is sufficiently high to reduce drying time but sufficiently low as to prevent damage to damp clothing. Once the outlet temperature rises to the clothes care temperature, the controller reduces power to the heater, bringing the outlet temperature back down to the clothes care temperature. The controller de-energizing the heater for a cooldown cycle upon detection of a dry load.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2008Publication date: October 22, 2009Applicant: MABE CANADA INC.Inventor: Sebastien Beaulac

Publication number: 20060272177Abstract: A clothes drying appliance has a moisture sensor and a signal acceleration processor coupled to receive and monitor a moisture signal from the moisture sensor. The processor determines signal gradients in the moisture signal and detects either minimums or maximums in the moisture signal when a sign change occurs between two successive signal gradients. The processor uses the detected local minimum or maximum information and the gradient preceding the detected local minimum or maximum to extrapolate a predicted moisture signal value for the clothing articles. The generation of the predicted moisture signal compensates for sensor response time.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 10, 2006Publication date: December 7, 2006Applicant: MABE CANADA INC.Inventors: Nicolas Pezier, Sebastien Beaulac
