    Abstract: A method is disclosed for assembling a windscreen-wiper mechanism having a support plate on an internal face of a body structure element that extends globally vertically at a rear of a motor vehicle. The method includes the steps of positioning the support plate relative to the internal face of the body structure element and joining the plate to the internal face of the body structure element. The positioning step includes moving the plate relative to the body structure element along a first direction, and the joining step includes rotating the plate about the first direction.
