  • Publication number: 20090298320
Abstract: This connector has snap-fit lock including a partially deformable locking member which is mounted on the housing so as to be axially slideable between an extended locking position and a retracted position; and a biasing spring which axially bias said locking member to its locking position. The locking member has a flexible beam including a tooth member adapted to engage a complementary locking projection of the counterpart connector, and to provide an axial stop therewith. The flexible beam is elastically deflectable on the axial path of the locking member, whereby the snap-fit effect is provided by elastic load, both axial and in flexion, of the flexible beam.

  • Publication number: 20090215312
Abstract: This grommet joint includes a peripheral portion provided to sealingly engage a peripheral inner surface of a connector housing, and a central portion having at least one through passage for a wire. Recesses are provided between the central portion and the peripheral portion the central portion being attached to the peripheral portion by flexible walls, whereby the central portion is rotatory attached to the peripheral portion.

  • Publication number: 20090104805
Abstract: The invention concerns sealed electrical connectors of the type wherein sealing is obtained by compressing a seal using a mobile element. The invention also concerns an electrical connector including a housing, receiving at least one contact provided with a first termination for connection to a complementary contact and with a second termination connected to a cable, the housing including: a module for receiving the contact; a slide for compressing a sealing grommet on said cable, which can be moved between a retracted position for inserting the contacts and an advanced position for compressing the grommet; a front cover capable of being manipulated between an advanced position for preventing connection with a complementary connector and a retracted position allowing insertion of the complementary contacts. The slide is provided with a first system for preventing the front cover from being manipulated, this first system being removed when the slide is in the advanced position.
