Abstract: The receptacle includes a body portion and at least one cap portion to close an open end of the body portion, the cap portion being impermeable to liquids and permeable to gases. The body portion and the cap portion define a chamber for an active substance. The body portion includes a side wall defining a transverse flange near its open end. The cap portion includes a base wall and a sealing skirt internally offset so that a transverse edge is defined between the sealing skirt and an outer periphery of the base wall. In an assembled configuration, the cap portion is in a sealing position in which the sealing skirt is sealingly pressed against an inner surface of the side wall such that a liquid-tight seal is formed, while the transverse edge of the cap portion is in abutment against the transverse flange of the body portion.

Abstract: The invention concerns a polymer composition, comprising: a thermoplastic base polymer, an inorganic desiccant material, preferably selected from the group comprising molecular sieves, zeolites, silica gel, clay, hydrate salts, metal oxides and mixtures thereof, and an additive. The invention also concerns a method of producing the polymer composition as well as an article of manufacture comprising the polymer composition. In addition, the invention concerns the use of a polyether block amide as an additive in a polymer composition comprising a base polymer and an inorganic desiccant material, preferably selected from the group comprising molecular sieves, zeolites, silica gel, clay, hydrate salts, metal oxides and mixtures thereof.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a humidity control device including the steps of: a) providing an envelope in an open configuration; b) introducing in at least one part of the open envelope a given weight of a humidity control agent having a known moisture content lower than the moisture content corresponding to a targeted equilibrium relative humidity level (ERHi); c) introducing a given weight of water in the at least one part of the open envelope; and d) repeating steps b) and c) until a desired weight of hydrated humidity control agent is received in the at least one part of the open envelope.

Abstract: A humidity control device, configured to maintain the relative humidity in an enclosure within a given range by absorbing or releasing water vapor, includes an envelope and a humidity control agent arranged inside the envelope. The envelope is liquid water resistant and water vapor permeable. The humidity control agent includes a hydrated superabsorbent polymer having an adjusted moisture content selected to provide a targeted equilibrium relative humidity (ERHi) situated in the range of 45% RH to 90% RH in a sealed container.
