Abstract: A system provides a graphical user interface element in a browser. The browser provides multiple different identities for the browser, each of the multiple different identities associated with a different user, each of the multiple different identities being associated with a plurality of accounts. Upon receiving a selection of the graphical user interface element from a first user, the system matches the first user with a first identity that is stored by the browser and associated with the first user. Upon receiving a second selection of the graphical user interface element from a second user, the system matches the second user with a second identity that is stored by the browser and associated with the second user.

Abstract: A system and machine-implemented method for visually providing feedback regarding a user selection are provided. The method includes receiving an indication of a user input with respect to a content item, wherein the input corresponds to a request to trigger one or more related actions for the content item, providing a visual indication in response to the request for display to the user, wherein the visual indication is provided in a first state showing that the request has been received, determining a status of the request, determining if the request is completed based on the status, updating the visual indication to a second state indicating the progress of the request based on the status if the request is not completed and providing the updated visual indication for display to the user.

In response to receiving the indication, the web browser may be displayed in the second browsing mode in which the one or more tabs are not shown. One or more light bars may also be displayed in a display area of the web browser at locations corresponding with the one or more tabs.
