  • Patent number: 9649747
Abstract: A grinding wheel is suited for shaping glass, notably glass that is less than or equal to 4 mm thick. This grinding wheel has at least one abrasive portion formed of at least one metal binder and of diamonds distributed in the binder. The binder has a Rockwell B hardness of between 95 and 105 and is tungsten-based. The diamonds have a size of between 75 and 95 ?m and a concentration of between 2.2 ct/cm3 and 2.64 ct/cm3. Glass, in particular for shaping motor-vehicle glazing units, can be shaped with this grinding wheel, making it possible to achieve travel speeds greater than or equal to 30 m/min.

  • Patent number: 9273217
Abstract: The invention relates to a composition suitable for the black printing, via screen printing, of a sheet of polyvinyl butyral intended to be part of a laminated glazing unit, characterized in that it comprises: 11% to 13% by weight of polyvinyl butyral, 35% to 40% by weight of at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid diester, and at least one black pigment in an amount and with a specific surface area that are selected so that the Brookfield viscosity of the composition at 20° C. is between 9 and 13 Pa·s; a process for printing, via screenprinitng, a sheet of polyvinyl butyral intended to be part of a laminated glazing unit, using this composition; a sheet of polyvinyl butyral intended to be part of a laminated glazing unit, and printed, via screen printing, using this composition; and a laminated glazing unit comprising such a sheet of polyvinyl butyral.

  • Patent number: 9138966
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a printed laminated glazing unit composed of two glass sheets separated by an interlayer adhesive sheet, comprising the steps consisting in screen printing, with a printing composition, at least one face of one of the sheets making up the glazing unit using a screen printing screen; and in assembling the various sheets making up the glazing unit, at least one of which has been screen printed. In this process a screen printing screen is used that comprises two superimposed fabrics, the fabric (I) intended to be placed opposite the face to be screen printed having a smaller mesh opening than the other fabric (S), the difference in mesh opening between the two fabrics lying in the range from 22 to 65 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20150210872
Abstract: A laminated glazing includes a sheet of polymer material color printed, via screen printing, using a composition including 10% to 15% by weight of polyvinyl butyral; 32% to 45% by weight of at least one solvent predominantly consisting of at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid diester, and at least one white pigment in an amount and with a specific surface area that are selected so that the Brookfield viscosity of the composition at 20° C. is between 9 and 13 Pa·s.
