Abstract: An application provides a search box that is configured to enable a user to enter searchable text. The application provides a quick pick search provider menu that is configured to include different sections that provide suggestions as text is entered into the search box. At least some of the suggestions are locally maintained, and at least some other of the suggestions are received from one or more remote search providers. In some embodiments, the application can comprise a web browser.

Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to operating a multi-processor mobile device. An application client executing on an application processor of the multi-processor mobile device negotiates a media session with a service. Responsive to the media session being negotiated, a media offload request is signaled from the application processor to a baseband processor of the multi-processor mobile device. The media offload request includes identification information that signifies packets that form part of the media session. Responsive to receipt of the media offload request, incoming packets received by the baseband processor from a base station are evaluated to detect whether the incoming packets form part of the media session. The incoming packets that form part of the media session are redirected from the baseband processor to a digital signal processor without being routed through the application processor and processed to generate an output, where the output is transmitted to an output device.

Abstract: Various embodiments enable information, in addition to textual information, to be presented to a user when the user enters a search query in a search box forming part of a user interface of an application. In one or more embodiments, a Web browser provides a search box in which a user can enter a search query. While the user is entering a search query, the Web browser can communicate with a third-party search provider to receive information, such as non-textual information, which can be presented to the user to assist in formulating their search query. The non-textual information can include images and other visual information of a non-textual nature.

Abstract: Various embodiments provide protection against web resources associated with one or more undesirable activities. In at least some embodiments, a method detects and responds to a user-initiated activity on a computing device. Responding can include, by way of example and not limitation, checking locally, on the computing device, whether a web resource that is associated with the user-initiated activity has been identified as being associated with a safe site. If the web resource is not associated with a safe site, the user will be notified and given the option to check remotely, away from the computing device, whether the web resource is identified as being at least possibly associated with one or more undesirable activities.
