  • Publication number: 20230376535
Abstract: A system is provided for generating machine learning-based associations for electronic data records. In particular, the system may access one or more relevant databases and use machine learning algorithms to automatically generate associations between certain concepts based on the contents and/or hierarchical structures of such databases. The system may further intelligently calculate weight values for each of the associations that may represent the strength of the relatedness or relevance between concepts. Once the associations are generated, the system may, in response to a query for information related to a certain concept, generate and provide a context-relevant view of the concept to the user. In this way, the system provides an efficient way to correlate information within electronic data records.

  • Publication number: 20220209934
Abstract: A system is provided for encoding genomics data for secure storage and processing. In particular, the system may comprise a client and server operating environment that uses a unique encoding algorithm to transform genomics data and/or metadata to produce encoded genomics data and/or metadata. In some embodiments, the encoded genomics data and/or metadata may be encrypted using one or more encryption algorithms. The encoded and/or encrypted genomics data may be stored on a secure server (e.g., a cloud environment) that may perform subsequent processing steps on the encoded and/or encrypted genomics data. Once the processing steps have been completed, the server may transmit one or more outputs associated with the genomics data and/or metadata to a client device. In this way, the system provides an efficient and secure way to store and process genomics data.

  • Patent number: 7062009
Abstract: A helical interpolation filter is provided for a multi-slice scanner having an asymmetric detector array. For projection data generated in the symmetric region of the scanner, in which complementary data are available, complementary interpolation is performed. For projection data generated in the asymmetric region of the scanner, in which no complementary data are available, direct interpolation is performed. A blending region is defined near each boundary between the symmetric and the asymmetric regions. In the blending region, a combination of direct and complementary interpolation is performed.

  • Patent number: 6850587
Abstract: A method of reconstructing a three-dimensional image from a set of X-ray projections generated by a scanning system, where the image corresponds to a first volume segment that is a portion of a longer object, includes reconstructing a first estimate image of a second volume segment larger than the first volume segment. The second volume segment includes the first volume segment. The method also includes applying a weighting function to the first estimate image for masking the first volume segment, so as to produce a hypothetical object image. The method further includes re-projecting the hypothetical object image so as to produce a set of simulated hybrid projections corresponding to the first volume segment. The method also includes reconstructing the hybrid projections so as to produce a three-dimensional image corresponding to the first volume segment.

  • Patent number: 6813374
Abstract: A method of and apparatus for assessing the image quality of a CT scanner is described in which assessment can be made manually or automatically. No special image quality mode of CT scanner operation is necessary, and no precise alignment of the phantom is necessary. In general, performance of the scanner comprises: using the scanner (a) to scan a phantom in one or more of its normal modes of operation while translating said phantom along the scanner axis of rotation and (b) to produce scanned data of the phantom, and assessing the performance of the scanner from the scanned data. In accordance with another aspect, the assessment is performed by (a) using the scanner to scan a phantom in one or more of its normal modes of operation; (b) reconstructing a three-dimensional volume CT image for a region containing at least a portion of the phantom; (c) calculating properties of the CT image; and (d) using the calculated properties of the CT image to assess CT scanner performance.
