The induction sealing head is for sealing a closure to an aperture of a container, and includes an induction coil, wherein the induction coil is wound about an axis, and has a first portion lying substantially in a first plane perpendicular to the axis, and a second portion stepped out of the first plane, and lying substantially in a second plane parallel with the first plane.
