  • Patent number: 6767184
Abstract: A blower having a turbo fan is installed in a scroll housing with a cutoff. The cutoff has an inclination angle of approximately 50 to 80°, so that it is possible to draw in an increased amount of air while reducing the flow resistance of air. Accordingly, blowing efficiency is improved while simultaneously reducing the generation of noise and vibration.

  • Publication number: 20030146699
Abstract: An AC driven plasma device which has a discharge cell formed by sealing an upper plate having a front glass substrate and a lower plate having a rear glass substrate using a sealing material and which is illuminated by light, created by the plasma discharge phenomenon when an AC power supply is applied thereto which comprises providing a transparent electrode and a protective film which have a thickness of several thousand of Å units under the upper plate, and dividing the lower plate by glass partition walls into a plurality of discharge cells, a white colored fluorescent material on the side and bottom of the discharge cells, and depositing a metal electrode under the lower plate, wherein the upper and lower plates are attached by a sealing material so that the surface of the protective film on the upper plate and the discharge cells are disposed opposite to each other, and the air in the discharge cells is replaced with discharge gas.

  • Publication number: 20030129916
Abstract: This invention relates to an AC driven plasma display panel for electrical commercial boards and a method of fabricating the same wherein transparent electrodes and metal electrodes are formed outside of the display panel and a groove is cut on the opposite side of glass plate in parallel with each electrode to form a discharge cell by overlapping the groove in order to replace separation walls, transparent dielectric bodies and white dielectric bodies. The plasma display panel has a simple fabrication method with a lower driving voltage and has a lower fabrication cost by utilizing dielectric body layer as the upper and lower plates, cutting them to secure a discharge space and exposing the electrodes to outside without utilizing the dielectric body layer and separation wall. The plasma display panel can be used in building top commercial towers and public display boards such as an outdoor commercial tower, train time table display, bank terminal and Neon sign board.

  • Patent number: 6439839
Abstract: A blower is disclosed. The blower comprises an impeller and a scroll housing. The impeller is provided with a plurality of blades and rotated. The scroll housing guides and discharges air sucked by the impeller to the outside, and surrounds the impeller. The expansion angle of the curvature radius of the contour of the scroll housing is designed to be less than an expansion angle in conformity with an Archimedic curve in a suction region ranging from a cutoff start angle to 160-200° from a reference angle. Additionally, the expansion angle of the curvature radius of the contour of the scroll housing is designed to be greater than the expansion angle in conformity with the Archimedean curve in a discharge region ranging exceeding 160-200°.

  • Patent number: 6200093
Abstract: A dual-intake fan which is a so-called sirocco fan used for venting air is disclosed. The fan has a structure in which a portion of an exhaust outlet is formed to be inclined while the centers of a scroll housing and an impeller are disposed to be eccentric so that noise can be reduced while air flow can be effectively guided by the scroll housing to the maximum extent and the air flow rate can be increased. The fan includes an impeller on which a plurality of blades are installed for rotating so as to create air flow, and a scroll housing formed so that the air drawn in through an air inlet by the impeller can be guided along a gradually expanding passage of the scroll housing, and the lower portion of an exhaust outlet is composed of at least one incline formed to be inclined upward toward any one side. In addition, the rotation center of the impeller and the center of the air inlet are disposed to be eccentric.
