  • Patent number: 5560384
Abstract: An outdoor sunscreen formed without rope or pole connecting eyelets includes a fabric sheet having a reinforced margin. The reinforced margin is a two-layered structure and lengthwise receives a reinforcing band therein. This margin is formed by folding an edge of the sheet with the reinforcing band lengthwise placed in the folded edge and by fusion welding together inner surfaces of the folded edge through high frequency heating. A plurality of arcuate punched slits are formed on the reinforced margin for providing a rope reception hole. In the fabric sheet, wefts and warps of the reinforced margin are tightly woven such that a woven structure of the margin about each punched slit endures a tensile force applied thereto from a tightened rope.

  • Patent number: 5415915
Abstract: A corner reinforcement for cloth is disclosed. This reinforcement comprises upper and lower plates for covering the upper and lower surfaces of the corner and reinforcing this corner. These upper and lower plates are integrally formed with each other in a single injection molding and have the same right-angled triangular appearance so as to provide a twofold right-angled triangular structure. This triangular structure of the reinforcement is opened at its hypotenuse but closed at the remaining sides thereof, thereby preventing the corner of cloth from jutting out of the reinforcement after fastening the reinforcement to the corner of cloth. The upper and lower plates each has an opening for a pitching rope and they are integrally formed with annular protrusions or eyelets which are adapted to reinforce the upper and lower plates against pull of the rope tied thereto. The reinforcement further includes grooves and protrusions to clamp the corner of cloth.

  • Patent number: 5327927
Abstract: A tent for screening the sunlight. The tent comprises a main sheet for screening the downwardly radiating sunlight, a plurality of front and rear tent poles for causing the main sheet to maintain its suspended shape, a plurality of ropes for being stretched to impart a tensile force to the main sheet, a pole support for supporting the tent poles as well as dispersing the vertical force generated in the poles and a detachable side sheet for intercepting the side radiating sunlight. The pole support comprises a base and a pair of pole support pipes which receive lower ends of the pipes. The base is embossed at its under surface with a raised figure to improve the frictional force between said pole support and the ground surface. The pole support pipes concentrate in the center of the base to have a V shape in cooperation with each other.
