  • Patent number: 7302202
Abstract: The present invention provides a cooling system including: a cold air generator which supplies cold air into a case of an apparatus; a wireless temperature sensor which is provided near at least one module constituting the apparatus and sends temperature data as a radio signal; a transmitter/receiver which sends a radio signal having a predetermined frequency to the temperature sensor and receives a radio signal from the temperature sensor; and a controller which controls an operation of the cold air generator on the basis of a radio signal received by the transmitter/receiver.

  • Patent number: 5963756
Abstract: When a color image is formed using exposure units, photoconductive drums, developing machines, transfer printing machines and the like, a color patch using each monochrome toner prepared for the above developing machines and a color patch formed by overlapping plural colors of toner are formed on a transfer medium as sample images. After the two types of color patches are fixed by a fixing roll, they are detected by a fixed image density sensor installed after the fixing roll. A control section corrects an image formation condition based upon difference in density between the two types of sample images.

  • Patent number: 5894353
Abstract: A specific reflection area 42 on a paper surface 37a is irradiated with light from a light source 41 via nor not via a lens 43. A photoelectric conversion element 44 is placed on a focal surface in the rearward of the lens 43 and out of the light reflected (including scattering light and diffusion light) from the reflection area 42 on the paper surface 37a, only the whole light reflected within a predetermined angular range is received by the photoelectric conversion element 44 via the lens 43. The density of the image formed on the paper surface 37a is measured from the light reception output. When the paper surface 37a is irradiated with light from the light source 41 via the lens 43, the light source 41 is placed backward from the focal surface 43b in the rearward of the lens 43.

  • Patent number: 5748228
Abstract: An image enlarging reading device includes an image inputting device including an image sensor and an image displaying device, for example, a liquid crystal display for displaying a whole or a part of image information inputted by the image inputting device. A reading portion of the image inputting device and a displaying portion of the image displaying device are positioned on a front side and a rear side respectively of the image enhancement display device with the displaying portion positioned over an area being read, that is, an area of image inputting. The image may be enhanced by enlargement of an input image to a magnified output image.

  • Patent number: 5315102
Abstract: A driving device for driving a two-dimensional contact image sensor comprising a plurality of pixel forming light-receiving elements that are arranged in a two-dimensional matrix in both main scanning and frame scan directions, charge transfer switching elements for respective pixels that are individually connected to said light-receiving elements and which transfer the charges generated in said light-receiving elements, gate lines that are common to said charge transfer switching elements for respective pixels in the main scanning direction, and data lines that are connected to said charge transfer switching elements for respective pixels and which are common thereto in the frame scan direction, said driving device carrying out a plurality of pre-scans cycle on the same image without producing an output image signal and, thereafter, scanning the image to produce an output image signal.
