  • Patent number: 8086868
Abstract: Public-key cryptography is realized by means of PKI in which biometrics data, in which biological information of users is converted to numerical values, are used to authenticate users that transmit and receive data, and based on the biometrics data, identical secret keys (common secret keys) are generated in each of the user terminal devices that are used by the users without releasing the secret keys onto the network.

  • Patent number: 7189418
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for extracting a lipid mixture having a high percentage of phospholipids comprising polyunsaturated fatty acids. The method comprises the steps of (a) heating the viscera of fish with hot water or steam; and (b) extracting from the heated viscera of fish, using a solvent, the lipid mixture containing phospholipids comprising polyunsaturated fatty acids. The lipid mixture obtained by the present method contains phosphatidylserine comprising docosahexaenoic acid and phosphatidylethanolamine comprising docosahexaenoic acid in high concentration.

  • Patent number: 6370263
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of registering palm imprints of individuals to be identified to authenticate the individuals. Each palm imprint is divided into parts having regions with predetermined positions and sizes. Feature points are extracted from the parts of the imprint. The obtained feature information is registered as information for identity of individuals.

  • Patent number: 5953443
Abstract: To provide a stripe pattern matching system enabling to verify minutia correspondence between a searching stripe pattern and a filed stripe pattern independent of position or direction of the searching stripe pattern, correspondence value between them is evaluated by comparing their distances, directions or relations to their each neighboring minutiae by a pairing examination means (16). The most appropriate rotation angle and the most appropriate shifting coordinates for adjusting the searching stripe pattern to the filed stripe pattern is obtained by selecting a most appropriate axial candidate giving the most concentrated coordinate deviations referring to deviation distributions of correspondence values accumulated on a deviation plane memory (18) by applying each axial candidate as the coordinate adjustment reference. Therefore, the most appropriate coordinate adjustment can be performed even when either or both of absolute direction and position cannot be specified, in the invention.

  • Patent number: 4607933
Abstract: A method of developing electrostatic latent images in a recording apparatus by forming a layer of developer containing toner particles on a conveying means, the thickness of said layer being smaller than the space existing between the image forming surface and the conveying means. The developer is transferred to the image forming surface by an alternating bias voltage. A detecting means determines the toner concentration in the developer; and the developer conditions are controlled in response to the detection of the toner concentration so that image density remains substantially constant despite change in toner concentration.
