  • Patent number: 4924154
Abstract: A control circuit for reversible control of a motor including a switch for selecting the rotational direction of a motor, a self-retaining driver circuit for driving the motor in the direction selected by the switch, a timer circuit which is initialized when the switch is actuated irrespective of the selected rotational direction of the motor and resets the driver circuit after the elapse of a certain period of time. The driver circuit may also be connected to a limit switch for resetting the driver circuit when the motor has reached an end of its stroke. Thus, the overloading of the motor is minimized even when the motion of the motor is obstructed at an intermediate point of its stroke, and the motor can reach an end of its stroke without fail even when the switch is actuated repeatedly.

  • Patent number: 4870409
Abstract: There is provided an automatic door lock control device on a vehicle which includes a first switch operable by a driver, a second switch operable by an occupant other than the driver, and an automatic control device. The automatic control device issues a control command for simultaneous operation of the door lock operation mechanisms associated with the driver and the other occupant upon receipt of a signal from the first switch, and issues a control command for operation of the door lock operation mechanism associated with the other occupant upon receipt of a signal from the second switch. The automatic control device is provided with a predominance determination unit which gives priority to the signal from the first switch over the signal from the second switch to avoid conflicting commands to the door lock operation mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 4857812
Abstract: Disclosed is an electric motor system for automobiles having an electric motor and a control circuit for the motor, wherein the control circuit is attached to a part of a metallic housing of the motor system by means of a bonding agent and is embedded in resin material so as to maintain a favorable heat removal from the control circuit by virtue of a high heat conductivity and a heat radiation capability of the housing. Preferably, the housing accommodates a speed reduction unit which is connected to the output shaft of the motor and reduces its rotation speed. Favorable heat removal from the control circuit improves the reliability and the performance of the control circuit, and since the control circuit can be directly wired to the motor the number and the cross section of the electric wires which extend between various parts of the motor system can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4855609
Abstract: The present invention discloses a starter for starting an internal combustion engine which comprises:(a) a starter motor having a starter shaft;(b) a pinion gear splined to the starter shaft so as to be slidable along the starter shaft for connection and disconnection of the starter motor to the engine;(c) a shifting motor having a shifting shaft;(d) a sliding means helical splined to the shifting shaft for a reciprocal movement along the shifting shaft according to a rotational movement of the shifting shaft; and(e) a shift arm for transmitting the reciprocal movement of the sliding means to the pinion gear so as to move the latter for connection and disconnection of the starter motor and the engine.
