  • Patent number: 5196773
Abstract: A rivetting machine has a hydraulic cylinder connected with a hydraulic power source, the cylinder including a piston shaft, a motor-driven spindle extending through and journaled to the piston shaft, and a rivet head forming tool secured to the bottom end of the spindle and carrying a forming shaft. A controller of the machine has a linear encoder for detecting the axial position of the piston shaft, an electric hydraulic servo valve provided in a hydraulic circuit between the hydraulic power source and the hydraulic cylinder, a machining data input unit for inputting machining data of the work rivet into a programmable control unit. The control unit receives the output of the linear encoder and the input machining data and controlling the hydraulic cylinder via the electric/hydraulic servo valve based on the machining data and the output of the encoder.

  • Patent number: 4700723
Abstract: A filter for tobacco smoke containing a fibrous ion exchange resin and a fibrous ion exchange resin wherein at least a part of the fiber is fibrillated or split for use in making the filter is disclosed. The filter efficiently removes substances harmful to the human body, e.g., ionic, polar, carcinogenic, and mutagenic substances, and nicotine and tar from tobacco smoke.

  • Patent number: 4693828
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of ion-exchange and/or adsorption, and to a method of producing pure water. More specifically, this invention relates to a method of ion-exchanging and/or adsorbing an unnecessary product or a useful product in a liquid to be treated. Concretely, this invention relates to a method of ion-exchange and/or adsorption and to a method of producing superpure water by first treating the liquid with an ion-exchange resin, and then treating the liquid with an ion-exchange fiber.

  • Patent number: 4600851
Abstract: A piezoelectric buzzer includes a tone generator formed by bonding, to a resilient thin plate, a piezoelectric element having deposited thereon thin film electrodes, and an oscillation circuit formed by electronic parts connected to the electrodes. A conductive carrying area of a predetermined pattern is formed on the upper surface of the piezoelectric element along nodal points of vibration of the tone generator, and the electronic parts are fixedly mounted on the carrying area to constitute the oscillation circuit.
