  • Patent number: 7848580
Abstract: The present image encoding method and the like represents a pixel block prior to performing spatial frequency transformation in processing such as JPEG or the like as a matrix, calculates sum data sc (i) of pixel values in a column i in the matrix and sum data sr (j) of pixel values in a row j in the matrix, calculates nc (i) and nr (j) such that the sc (i) and sc (j) are arrayed in descending order respectively, and when a predetermined condition that permutation is considered reasonable is satisfied, performs permutation of the matrix, generates header information Ph (n) including the nc (i) and nr (j) necessary for subjecting the matrix to permutation in the original state, and adds this to the header of a compressed image file such as JPEG or the like.

  • Patent number: 7773828
Abstract: Target pixel blocks are picked up from a target image selected from a plurality of images picked up by an imaging device, motion vectors of these target pixel blocks are calculated between two images, and affine transformation coefficients for blur correction is calculated based on the motion vectors. Weighting coefficients are set for target pixel blocks based on a confidence level of the calculated motion vectors with respect to the image blur. For example, motion vectors in peripheral portion of the image is usually large in size, so that the confidence level of these may be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 7512327
Abstract: An image capturing device and a blurring correction method in which an imaging unit or a blurring correction optical system is driven to correct blurring in response to an output of a vibration detecting sensor. In such blurring correction, when a driving mechanism has a frictionally connected section, the blurring correction impairs an image at a time when an impact is generated. Therefore, an impact detecting section is disposed, and the blurring correction is not performed when the impact detecting section detects the impact.
