  • Patent number: 5008728
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit device includes a plurality of functional blocks each executing respective logic operations and arranged in an internal area on a semiconductor chip, and a first power source line arranged so as to surround the internal area. The first power source line is a closed-loop line. Second power source lines are provided for the respective functional blocks so as to surround the respective functional blocks on the chip. Each of the second power source lines is a closed-loop line. Third power source lines mutually connect the second power source lines for the functional blocks and connect the second power source lines and the first power source line.

  • Patent number: 4920544
Abstract: The delta-sigma modulator includes a secondary delta-sigma modulator which carries out a secondary delta-sigma modulation for an analog input signal, thereby producing a first quantization signal. A quantization noise extractor extracts a quantization noise occurring in the secondary delta-sigma modulator. A primary delta-sigma modulator carries out a first delta-sigma modulator for the quantization noise, thereby producing a second quantization signal. A differentiating circuit differentiates the second quantization signal supplied from the primary delta-sigma modulator. An adder adds the first quantization signal and an output signal of the differentiating circuit, thereby producing a digital output signal corresponding to the analog input signal.

  • Patent number: 4705482
Abstract: A terminal connector assembly for removably receiving end portions of a multiconductor cable includes a terminal block defining an array of interior elongate cavities. Each cavity is provided with a generally U-shaped terminal member having a pair of opposing spaced-apart side arms and an integral pair of opposing protruding contact portions. The protruding contact portions establish therebetween an entranceway of reduced cross-sectional dimension such that upon insertion of an end portion of the multiconductor cable therebetween, the contact portions establish electrical contact therewith.

  • Patent number: 4157436
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flame retardant polyester having a phosphorus atom content of 500-50,000 ppm, which polyester contains a flame-retarding amount of a phosphorus containing compound represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or hydrocarbon group having 1-10 carbon atoms which may contain a hydroxyl group, and both R.sup.1 's may together form a dehydrated ring when both of R.sup.1 's represent hydrogen atoms, each of R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 is a member selected from the group consisting of halogen atoms and hydrocarbon groups having 1-10 carbon atoms, and each of n2 and n3 is an integer of 0-4. Polyesters containing the claimed phosphorus containing compounds are characterized by exhibiting excellent flame retardancy and at the same time, the physical properties of the polyesters are not impaired by incorporation of the phosphorus compound therein.

These compounds are especially useful for incorporation into polymers, such as polyesters, as flame-retardants. Further, such phosphorus-containing compound imparts excellent flame-retardant properties to such polyesters, while at the same time does not deleteriously affect the physical properties of the polyester.

  • Patent number: 4072664
Abstract: An aromatic polyamide comprising (1) a unit of the formula: ##STR1## and (2) a unit of the formula: ##STR2## and being excellent in strength, rigidity and heat resistance and improved in light resistance, flexibility and wear resistance, which can be produced by polycondensation of a diamine component comprising N,N'-bis(p-aminobenzoyl)-ethylenediamine and p-phenylenediamine, the content of the N,N'-bis (p-aminobenzoyl)ethylenediamine being from about 0.6 to 50 mol %, with a dicarboxylic acid component comprising terephthalic acid or its reactive derivative in a substantially equimolar amount to the diamine component in an amide polar solvent.
