  • Publication number: 20020135218
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to minimize the dependency of the vibration characteristic exhibited by the sheet-shaped supporting member supported by the metal springs on the added load. In a plurality of metal springs 41 to 44 supporting a sheet-shaped supporting member 30, a third metal spring 43 provided on the position to support the vicinity of the greater trochanter of the seated person is provided in a manner that an engagement portion with a frame member is positioned lower than the engagement portion with the sheet-shaped supporting member 30 when no load is applied. Accordingly, the feeling of something foreign created by such a third metal spring 43 can be reduced, and within a predetermined range of the added load, the third metal spring does not work functionally because respective engagement portions 43a and 43b take their positional relationship to be substantially horizontal in a static seating state, while it works functionally when the added load exceeds the above-described range.

  • Patent number: 6435618
Abstract: A seat capable of exhibiting improved seating characteristics. A backing cloth member of a one-piece structure is stretchedly arranged form a seat back section of a seat frame to a seat cushion section thereof. A net-skin member of a one-piece structure is laminated on a front surface of the backing cloth member so as to extend from the seat back section to the seat cushion section. The net-skin member includes a front mesh layer, a rear mesh member and a number of piles arranged between the front mesh layer and the rear mesh layer to connect the front and rear mesh layers to each other therethrough. Such constriction permits a central region of the net-skin member which exhibits maximum cushion characteristics to be arranged at a position corresponding to the hip to waist of a person on the seat, to thereby eliminate a hard feeling of the frame member positioned at an interface between the seat back section and seat cushion section, resulting in seating characteristics of the seat being highly improved.

  • Publication number: 20020096932
Abstract: A vehicle seat 10 of the present invention uses a net member of a three-dimensional structure in which a front mesh layer and a back mesh layer are connected with a number of piles, as a covering member. A seat back covering member 30 has an upper end portion 30a thereof fixed at an upper end frame 22a, while a seat cushion covering member 40 has a front end portion 40e thereof fixed to a front end frame 21a, and side portions 30c of the seat back covering member 30 is supported to be movable up and down with respect to guide frames 22d. Both the covering members 30 and 40 are placed at an extremely low elongation percentage. Accordingly, the seat is excellent in vibration absorption characteristic, because movements of a support member 50 and metal springs 60 disposed under the seat cushion covering member 40 are not restricted and a mechanism of vibration absorption by them is not hindered.

  • Patent number: 6325365
Abstract: A vibration mechanism includes a repulsive magneto-spring made up of at least two permanent magnets 22, 24, 36, 38. In this vibration mechanism, the spring constant of the magneto-spring is set to approximately zero by appropriately selecting the relationship of one of the permanent magnets 22, 24, 36, 38 relative to the other.

  • Patent number: 6302487
Abstract: A seat includes a seat cushion frame, a seat back frame mounted to the seat cushion frame, and at least one three-dimensional net having upper and lower mesh layers and a pile layer made up of a large number of piles for connecting the upper and lower mesh layers. The three-dimensional net is stretched over substantially the entire region of the seat cushion frame and the seat back frame, thereby forming a seat cushion and a seat back. The three-dimensional net has a fixed end at a front end portion of the seat cushion and another fixed end at an upper end portion of the seat back. The seat also includes a first tension member attached to the three-dimensional net at a location adjacent to a central portion thereof for imparting tension thereto, and a second tension member attached to another portion of the three-dimensional net for fastening it to at least one of the seat cushion frame and the seat back frame.

  • Publication number: 20010017542
Abstract: A magnetic field measuring equipment capable of accurately and rapidly measuring a magnetic field produced in a three-dimensional space around a measured object (object to be measured) and visually displaying results of the measurement. The magnetic field measuring equipment includes a measuring instrument including a magnetic sensor arranged so as to be relatively movable in three-dimensional directions around a measured object, a computer including a data processing means for subjecting a magnetic field of the measured object to processing so as to permit the magnetic field to be visually displayed, on the basis of three-dimensional magnetic force data of the measured object measured by the measuring instrument, and a display acting as an output means for outputting results of processing by the data processing means.

  • Patent number: 6232689
Abstract: An energy converting mechanism includes at least two permanent magnets spaced from each other with the same magnetic poles opposed to each other, and a magnetic spring formed by the at least two permanent magnets. The magnetic spring provides negative damping characteristics or changes static magnetic energy by changing an opposing area of the at least two permanent magnets so that an output is extracted from one of the at least two permanent magnets by applying an input to the other.

  • Patent number: 6035980
Abstract: A magnetic spring has at least two permanent magnets (2 and 4) spaced from each other in a kinetic mechanism. At the time of input and at the time of output, the geometric dimensions between the two permanent magnets are changed by the kinetic mechanism or an external force. The change in geometric dimensions is converted into a repulsive force in the kinetic mechanism, thereby (1) making the repulsive force from a balanced position of the two permanent magnets greater at the time of output than at the time of input, or (2) deriving a damping term of the magnetic spring to provide nonlinear damping and spring characteristics.
