  • Patent number: 7352152
Abstract: An electronic appliance has a data read/write section which reads information about a battery stored in a wireless tag provided in the battery, and a CPU which recognizes the read information about the battery and generates battery remaining energy warning information to be displayed on a display section according to the battery information. The battery remaining energy warning information according to the kind of the battery, the name of the manufacturer of the battery, etc., is generated and displayed to correctly and effectively inform a user of a remaining energy warning about the battery presently used.

  • Patent number: 5463952
Abstract: A planographic printing plate in which a design pattern is realized in a part of the back surface of a support for the planographic printing plate without any adverse influence on a photosensitive resin layer on the front surface thereof. After an aluminum support with a thickness of 0.24 mm is cleaned by degreasing and etching, an electrolytic aqueous solution is prepared to contain the nitric acid concentration of 10 g/l and the aluminum ion concentration of 7 g/l. In an electrolytic treatment cell 5, the back surface of the aluminum support is arranged so as to be faced to an electrode. A 1 mm-thick masking plate formed of an insulating material punched to provided openings with arbitrary shapes is brought into close contact with the back surface of the aluminum support so that the back surface of the aluminum support is covered with the masking plate. A carbon plate with a thickness of 50 mm is used as the electrode.

  • Patent number: 5358610
Abstract: A method for electrolytic treatment comprising forming electrochemically a rough surface on a material to be treated by supplying alternating current between the material to be treated and electrodes in an electrolytic solution containing metal ions, wherein when y[m/min.] indicates a travelling speed of the material, f[Hz] indicates line frequency and x[cm] indicates a distance between leading ends of the electrodes, an electrolytic roughening treatment is conducted by selecting x, y and f so as to satisfy the following formula; ##EQU1## (in the formula, g(a)=a-[a], here [a] indicates a maximum integer which does not exceed a.

  • Patent number: 5328573
Abstract: An apparatus and method for subjecting a material, such as an aluminum web, to an electrolytic roughening treatment. The apparatus includes a tank for storing an electrolytic solution, and for conveying the web through the solution. As the web is conveyed through the solution, it passes first and second electrodes, which are coupled to a power source circuit. The power source circuit generates an alternating current and applies the same to the electrodes. The circuit also includes a rectifying coil having an inductance (L.sub.1), which is at least ten times greater than the inductance (L.sub.2) of the load.

  • Patent number: 5221442
Abstract: In a process of surface-roughening of an aluminum support for a printing plate using an AC electrolytic etching apparatus, changes of the current waveform, particularly changes of the time required for the current to reach its peak value due to variations of the load on the power supply are prevented. Also, the voltage load on the gate turn-off thyristors used for generating an alternating current is prevented from going beyond the withstanding voltage capacity of the thyristors. In accordance with the invention, an electrolytic surface-roughening treatment apparatus is provided in which an alternating current is supplied by a power supply having a circuit for generating the alternating current using a current inversion control circuit so as to perform electrochemical treatment, wherein the electrolytic surface-roughening treatment is performed with either a parallel circuit or a series circuit of a capacitor and a diode bridge inserted in parallel with the load on the power circuit.
