  • Patent number: 8698962
Abstract: A content processing device includes an input section, a memory section, a selection section and an output section. The input section is configured to receive content having a video signal and a plurality of audio signals with different audio types. The memory section is configured to store selection information indicative of a predetermined audio type, and order information indicative of a preset order of a plurality of audio types. The selection section is configured to select one of the audio signals based on the selection information and the order information. The output section is configured to output the video signal and the one of the audio signals that was selected by the selection section.

  • Patent number: 8421731
Abstract: A data driver outputs image data to a liquid crystal panel, using a trailing edge of a timing signal as a trigger. When a user operates a remote control for power-off, a main controller outputs, to a driver controller, a stop signal for stopping the timing signal, and a power switching signal for switching the image data to a low power for output after a predetermined time from the stop signal. Accordingly, the image data is switched to a low power for standby mode after the supply of the timing signal to the data driver is completely stopped. Thus, when the data driver outputs image data to the panel in response to a last pulse of the timing signal, the data driver is prevented from outputting image data having been switched to a low power, so that noise can be prevented from appearing on the screen of the panel.

  • Patent number: 7821576
Abstract: An image processing device includes a synchronizing signal separation section, a counting section, a synchronizing signal determination section, and a video format determination processing section. The synchronizing signal separation section separates a horizontal synchronizing signal from a received broadcasting signal. The counting section counts the pulse number of the separated horizontal synchronizing signal. The synchronizing signal determination section determines presence/absence of a synchronizing signal based on the counted value by the counting section. The video format determination processing section determines a video format of the received broadcasting signal based on the number of scan lines. The video format determination processing section determines the video format only when it is determined that there is a synchronizing signal by the synchronizing signal determination section.

  • Publication number: 20070174892
Abstract: A selection operation of a designated channel for a broadcast signal received via an antenna is performed, so that the broadcast signal of the designated channel is detected and the detected broadcast signal is output to a monitor via a video IC and the like. When the power of a microcomputer is turned on (power supply is started), the microcomputer causes a tuner to perform a channel-selection operation for the channel that has been selected at the time of most recent turn-off of the power (power supply stop). As a result of the channel-selection operation, if the tuner cannot detect the broadcast signal of the channel, the microcomputer displays an image of that channel (an image where an video image is not shown) on the monitor and thereafter displays an image for notifying a user of a measure to be taken through an OSD circuit.
