  • Patent number: 7842628
Abstract: A woven or knitted fabric, formed from two types of yarns different in self-elongating property upon absorbing water and capable of facilitating the air-permeability when wetted with water, is constituted so that a ratio A/B of a mean length A of yarns (1) having a high water-absorbing, self-elongating property to a mean length B of yarns (2) arranged in the same direction as that of the yarn (1) and having a lower water-absorbing, self-elongating property than that of the yarn (1) is adjusted to 0.9 or less.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 17, 2004
Date of Patent: November 30, 2010
    Assignee: Teijin Fibers Limited
Inventors: Satoshi Yasui, Seiji Mizohata, Takeshi Yamaguchi, Kengo Tanaka
  • Publication number: 20090260124
Abstract: A woven or knitted fabric, formed from two types of yarns different in self-elongating property upon absorbing water and capable of facilitating the air-permeability when wetted with water, is constituted so that a ratio A/B of a mean length A of high water-absorbing, self-elongating yarns (1) to a mean length B of lower water-absorbing, self-elongating yarns (2) arranged in the same direction as that of the yarn (1) property is adjusted to 0.9 or less, the wetted fabric exhibits a change in roughness of 5% or more.

  • Publication number: 20060270293
Abstract: A woven or knitted fabric, formed from two types of yarns different in self-elongating property upon absorbing water and capable of increasing the opening area (%) when wetted with water compared with that in dry condition, is constituted so that a ratio A/B of a mean length A of yarns (1) having a high self-elongating upon absorbing water to a mean length B of yarns (2) arranged in the same direction as that of the yarn (1) and having a lower self-elongating upon absorbing water than that of the yarn (1) is adjusted to more than 0.9.

  • Publication number: 20060177655
Abstract: A polyether ester elastic fiber comprising a polyether ester elastomer containing polybutylene terephthalate as a hard segment and polyoxyethylene glycol as a soft segment and copolymerized with a specific metal organic sulfonate, having a coefficient of moisture absorption of not less than 5% at 35° C. and at a RH of 95% and a coefficient of water absorption extension of not less than 10%. The above-mentioned polyether ester elastic fiber has a good moisture-absorbing property, and is reversibly largely expanded or contracted by the absorption or release of water. Therefore, a fabric giving excellent comfortableness can be obtained from said elastic fibers, and can be recycled.
