  • Patent number: 5622483
Abstract: A brake fluid pressure controller for use in a motor vehicle having a hydraulic unit. including a housing and a pump mounted in the housing. A motor for driving the pump is coupled to the housing. The hydraulic unit and the motor are mounted through shock-absorbing rubber mount to a vehicle body. The rubber mount is supported on a support portion formed on the end cover of the motor. This eliminates the need for machining and extra parts and reduces the machining cost.

  • Patent number: 5531573
Abstract: A brake fluid pressure controller including a hydraulic unit having a housing and a pump mounted in the housing, and a motor for the pump having an end cover and an output shaft received in a hole formed in the housing. The motor is coupled to the housing by means of a plurality of bolts extending through the end cover of the motor and threaded into the housing. A seal member is sandwiched between opposing surfaces of the motor and the housing to seal the space around the output shaft and the space around each bolt. The seal member is in the form of a rubber packing including a large-diameter annular seal portion surrounding the output shaft and small-diameter annular seal portions integrally formed along the outer edge of the large-diameter annular seal portion.

  • Patent number: 5465937
Abstract: A fluid pressure control device having a housing formed with a bore and a solenoid valve mounted in the bore. The solenoid valve has a frame of a magnetic material mounted in the bore. The frame and thus the solenoid valve are mounted in the bore of the housing and secured in position by a pin received in a hole formed in the frame and supported by the housing. This eliminates a seating plate for securing the solenoid valve against the housing. This contributes to a compact design, light weight and lower manufacturing cost.

  • Patent number: 5413406
Abstract: A fluid pressure control unit has a changeover valve and an electromagnetic discharge valve combined with each other so that with the opening and closing of the latter valve, the communication between the inlet leading to the pressure source and the first and second outlets leading to wheel brakes is changed over for normal braking, pressure reduction for antilock control and pressure reincrease. Part of the sleeve of the changeover valve is used as the frame of the discharge valve which functions as a magnetic circuit. This reduces the number of parts, eliminates the need for an O-ring and facilitates maintenance.

  • Patent number: 5200658
Abstract: An electric motor has guides (8,9,10,11) inside its yoke (1) for guiding the insertion of a through-bolt (7) for mounting the electric motor on a fixed surface, thereby preventing the through-bolt (7) from being attracted by permanent magnets (2) which are provided within the yoke (1). The guides (8,9,10,11) for the through-bolt (7) are formed by protrusions (8) defined in the inner periphery of the yoke (1) for holding the through-bolt (7), or by a sleeve (9,10,11) having a through-hole (9a, 10a,11a) for receiving the through-bolt (7) passing through an end surface of a cover (6) for the yoke (1) and through a brush holder (5) or through a portion inside the yoke (1).

  • Patent number: 5026123
Abstract: A flow control valve for use in an antilock control device includes a housing having inlet and outlet ports communicating with a pressure source and a wheel brake, respectively, and a spool slidably mounted in the housing and formed with a channel including an orifice. When the spool is in a first position, a large-flow passage is formed between the inlet and outlet ports. When in another position, a restricted-flow passage is formed between the inlet and outlet ports through the orifice while the large-flow passage is closed. A piston is mounted in the housing on top of the spool. Every time the brake is applied, the piston is adapted to move up and down, thus allowing the spool to slide in the same direction to the first position. Instead of the piston, a sleeve may be disposed between the inner periphery of the housing and the outer periphery of the spool so as to be slidable relative to both the housing and the spool.

  • Patent number: 4964680
Abstract: A flow control valve for antilock control includes a housing having inlet, outlet and discharge ports communicating with a master cylinder, a wheel brake and a reservoir circuit, respectively, and a spool mounted in the housing so as to be slidable between two positions. When the spool is in one of the two positions, a large-flow channel is formed between the inlet and outlet ports, whereas in the other position, a restricted-flow channel is formed therebetween. In an intermediate position, both of the channels are closed by edge portions formed on the spool. A throttled bypass channel is formed so as to branch off from the restricted-flow channel so as to be connected to the outlet port. Even if the spool should get stuck in any intermediate position between the above two positions, hydraulic oil can be fed from the inlet port to the outlet port through this throttled channel.

  • Patent number: 4673220
Abstract: Improved brake pressure control valve assemblies with a bypass function are proposed which have an axially slidable piston responsive to fluid pressures of two brake fluid circuits, and a pressure reducing valve mounted in the piston for reducing the pressure of one of the two brake fluid circuits. If one of the circuits fails, the piston is adapted to move toward the failed circuit to disable the pressure reducing valve from reducing the pressure of the other of the two circuits.
