  • Publication number: 20020050969
Abstract: A display controller for a communication terminal is connected to a base station through a radio channel for making radio communications with the base station. A first display control unit displays a moving image on a display unit. A second display unit has a first storage unit for storing a plurality of color numbers, and a second storage unit for storing color data in correspondence to each of the color numbers, and displays color data corresponding to a color number read from the first storage unit on the display unit as a graphics image. A determination unit determines, when the moving image and the graphics image are displayed on the display unit, which of the moving image and the graphics image is preferentially displayed depending on whether or not the color number read from the first storage unit is a predetermined number.

  • Patent number: 5978655
Abstract: An information processing apparatus has a transmission antenna and a reception antenna and performs radio transmission/reception with a radio card via the two antennas, thereby performing predetermined information processing. Each of the transmission antenna and reception antenna is formed of a loop antenna. Both antennas are made to overlap each other by a predetermined length so as to prevent mutual electromagnetic interference and are situated in substantially the same plane. Accordingly, even if the transmission antenna and reception antenna are situated close to each other, a signal radiated from the transmission antenna is prevented from interfering with the reception antenna. Thus, the reception antenna can surely receive only a signal radiated from the radio card or an object of communication.

  • Patent number: 5914980
Abstract: A wireless communication system performs wireless transmitting and receiving of data between first and second communication devices. The device transmits from the first communication device to the second communication device a prescribed signal by a prescribed carrier signal having a prescribed carrier frequency. The prescribed signal transmitted from the first communication device is received in the second communication device. The device generates in the second communication device a signal of prescribed frequency which is phase synchronous with the prescribed carrier signal. Transmission data is spread spectrum modulated using the signal of prescribed frequency generated in the generating step. The spread spectrum modulated signal is transmitted from the second communication device to the first communication device. The first communication device receives the spread spectrum modulated signal transmitted from the second communication device.

  • Patent number: 5847662
Abstract: A read request signal containing a command, an address, etc. is subjected to two-phase modulation with the first carrier of a first frequency and the resultant signal is then transmitted to a radio card. After the transmission of the read request signal, the first carrier is kept transmitted to the radio card. Upon reception of the read request signal, the radio card generates a power supply voltage and an operation clock and sends response data to the read request signal to a radio card reader/writer. Unlike in the prior art, therefore, the reception of power or the reception/transmission of data need not be performed intermittently so that a large amount of data can be received or transmitted continuously at a high speed.

  • Patent number: 5798992
Abstract: A laser diode monitoring apparatus activates the laser diode in a manner of impulse, measures the sag of light output level, and judges the light emitting performance to be deteriorated if the sag is greater than the reference value. The value of sag comprehends the inequality of light output characteristics of individual laser diodes and the variation of ambient temperature, enabling the accurate decay determination.
