Publication number: 20060128645Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method of treatment which inhibits proliferation and invasion of brain tumor cells in developing animal brain tumor cells, and a method for measuring proliferation/invasion activity of brain tumor cells, in the brain tumor cells, preferably, in glioblastoma. Proliferation and invasion of brain tumor cells are inhibited by regulating Ca2+ permeability by glutamate receptor subunits in developing animal brain tumor cells. Regulation of Ca2+ permeability by glutamate receptor subunits can be conducted by introducing the GluR2 gene into AMPA-type glutamate receptors in brain tumor cells. Further, the present invention provides a method for measuring proliferation/invasion activity of brain tumor cells by detecting/measuring the expression of glutamate receptor subunits in developing animal brain tumor cells.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2003Publication date: June 15, 2006Inventors: Seiji Ozawa, Shogo Ishiuchi

Publication number: 20040216040Abstract: A product information contrast system contrasts a plurality of items of product information that contain specifications indicating properties of products. The product information contrast system comprises a product information management unit which manages the plurality of items of product information of the products including a criterion product. A judgment unit determines whether specifications in the product information items of the criterion product are different from specifications in the product information items of at least one of the products managed by the product information management unit. A display control unit generates a visually recognizable display indication of differences in the specifications of the product information items based on results of the determination of the judgment unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2004Publication date: October 28, 2004Applicant: RICOH COMPANY, LTD.Inventors: Mariko Aduma, Tetsuo Noji, Tetsuo Isoda, Seiji Ozawa, Manabu Satoh, Yoshihiro Sugiyama, Motonori Hanada

Publication number: 20040161267Abstract: A developer replenishing device for replenishing a developing device with a developer, and a developer container for use therewith. The developer container, or toner bottle, includes a shoulder portion adjoining a first end of a hollow body. The body is formed with a spiral guide for guiding a developer stored in the developer container. The shoulder portion forms a wall and includes an engaging portion engageable with driver that causes the body to rotate. The engaging portion includes a lug protruding from the shoulder portion which allows a characteristic of toner to be identified. The engaging portion has an outside surface of a guide portion that guides a developer stored in the developer container. Two engaging portions may be angularly spaced from each other by 180 degrees.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2004Publication date: August 19, 2004Inventors: Hideo Ichikawa, Takeshi Saito, Sunao Ikeda, Nobuhiro Makita, Seiji Ozawa, Shigeru Yoshiki, Takaaki Yanagisawa

Publication number: 20020001485Abstract: A developer replenishing device for replenishing a developing device with a developer, and a developer container for use therewith. The developer container, or toner bottle, has a mouth portion at one end thereof which is smaller in diameter than a hollow cylindrical main body. At the end of the bottle provided with the mouth, a shoulder has the inner periphery thereof partly raised to the edge of the mouth portion to form a raised portion for scooping up a toner. In addition, a part of the inner periphery of the circumferential wall of the bottle which is contiguous with the raised portion is also raised toward the axis of the bottle about which the bottle is rotatable, thereby forming another raised portion. When the bottle is mounted to a bottle holder, which is included in the replenishing device, substantially horizontally with the mouth portion oriented sideways, the bottle is rotated to raise the toner from the bottom of the main body to the mouth portion.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2001Publication date: January 3, 2002Applicant: Ricoh Company Ltd.Inventors: Hideo Ichikawa, Takeshi Saito, Sunao Ikeda, Nobuhiro Makita, Seiji Ozawa, Shigeru Yoshiki, Takaaki Yanagisawa
