  • Publication number: 20090227057
Abstract: An electronic component or display device of the present invention can be provided by using a following pattern formation method. On a substrate treated with a first etching with a first resist pattern as a first mask, a second resist pattern is transfer-printed on the first resist patterns so as to partially overlap with the first resist pattern and partially extended from the first resist pattern. And then a second etching is performed by using the first resist pattern and the second resist pattern as a second mask. The first resist pattern and the second resist pattern are used for forming wirings and/or terminals, and the extended portion of the second resist pattern is used to make the wirings to have a cross section of a stair-like edge shape.

  • Patent number: 7460190
Abstract: An amorphous-silicon TFT (thin-film-transistor) in an LCD device has a larger channel length at both the edge portions of the channel of the TFT compared to the central portion of the channel by forming chamfers at the corners of the source and drain electrodes. The larger channel length at both the edge portions reduces the leakage current caused by the turned-around light incident onto the channel.

  • Publication number: 20080294966
Abstract: A data transmission apparatus includes a packet generation section, a frame encoding section, a transmission section, a reception section, a frame decoding section and a packet extraction section. The packet generation section generates a packet upon request. The frame encoding section generates a frame having a predetermined length by dividing the packet or adding dummy data to the packet and generates an error-correcting-code-added frame by adding an error correcting code to the frame. The transmission section transmits the generated error-correcting-code-added frame through a transmission line. The reception section receives the error-correcting-code-added frame. The frame decoding section performs an error detection and an error correction for the error-correcting-code-added frame. The packet extraction section extracts the packet by removing the error correcting code from the error-correcting-code-added frame for which the error detection and the error correction have been performed.
