The power-generating element includes an electrode layer, a counter-electrode layer placed to face the electrode layer, and a solid electrolyte layer located between the electrode layer and the counter-electrode layer. The insulating layer includes a first insulating film that extends inward from ends of the power-generating element in a planar view of a principal surface of the power-generating element and a second insulating film that covers a side surface of the power-generating element and that is continuous with ends of the first insulating film. The second insulating film is thinner than the first insulating film.

The throttle body is connected to the engine and is configured to take in combustion air from the combustion air intake port. The silencing chamber is provided above the engine and is placed in an intake passage that guides the combustion air to the throttle body. At least one of a hole member including a plurality of holes with respective predetermined depths, and a plurality of suction pipes elongated in a front-rear direction of the outboard motor, is disposed in a position communicating with the silencing chamber.
