Patent number: 7185068Abstract: In a content retrieval device, a browser section generates a retrieval request for sub-content data to be retrieved presently. A protocol control section determines which communication path between a first communication path or a second communication path should be used prior to the reception of the sub-content data which is specified by the browser section. If the protocol control section determines that the first communication path is to be used, a first communication control section receives the sub-content data which is specified by the browser section from a content server. If the protocol control section determines that the second communication path is to be used, a second communication control section receives the sub-content data from the content server. In this way, the content retrieval device can select a suitable connection method prior to the reception of data.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2001Date of Patent: February 27, 2007Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takuya Kobayashi, Seiji Ura, Hiromi Wada

Publication number: 20060212920Abstract: The present invention provides a broadcast receiving terminal which improves power conservation, in which a user does not miss broadcast contents s/he likes. The broadcast receiving terminal (100) includes: a display unit (120) for displaying TV program content; a state administration unit (112) which judges whether or not to display the TV program content, based on the user's operation; and a first processing unit (110), which receives a digital broadcast wave and operates as follows: executes decoding on stream information, and causes the TV program content to be displayed in the display unit (120) when the TV program content are judged to be displayed. The first processing unit (110) presents an outline indicating real-time TV program information so that the outline is synchronized with the TV program content when the TV program content are judged not to be displayed.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2004Publication date: September 21, 2006Inventors: Kohei Yamaguchi, Takahisa Fujita, Seiji Ura, Masaki Saga

Publication number: 20040216037Abstract: A document processing apparatus that automatically carries out a transmission operation at the time of a link selection, which selects a telephone number described in the link information without carrying out a useless operation. The link information is the additional information which is not actually displayed, like as the HTML. The document processing apparatus includes a receiver for receiving the document; a link information extractor for extracting the link information from the document; a display for displaying the document based on the link information extracted by the link information extractor; a selector for selecting the link information in the document; and a link operator controller for carrying out the transmission operation to another party when the link information selected by the selector is the telephone number information.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2004Publication date: October 28, 2004Applicants: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., Matsushita Communication Industrial Co., Ltd., NTT DoCoMo, Inc.Inventors: Toshihiro Hishida, Seiji Ura, Hidehiko Shin, Junji Ishigaki, Keizaburo Sasaki, Eriko Ooseki

Publication number: 20040100945Abstract: A communication terminal apparatus whereby data communication and service switching can be performed taking security into consideration, and without an application performing complex circuit connection control. In this apparatus, port number checker 260 refers to port number DB 270 and checks whether a port number included in user information transmitted from application 100 is an appropriate one. Port number DB 270 memorizes destination port numbers and communication protocols in correspondence. Port number DB 270 memorizes only those appropriate port numbers that application 100 is allowed for use and the corresponding communication protocols. U-plane monitor 280 monitors all ports of TCP/IP, detects transmission of user information from application 100, and reports a port number included in the header to port number checker 260.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2003Publication date: May 27, 2004Applicant: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Junichi Morita, Noritoshi Ogasawara, Seiji Ura

Patent number: 6708200Abstract: There is provided a communication system capable of reducing the burden of the terminal that is connected to the Internet via the communication network such as the mobile telephone network, whose security is ensured, and is used to carry out the electronic commerce and the banking service. An encryption communication request generating portion (101) of a client system (100) sends out a security request of a communication route to a gateway server unit (200), an encryption communication controlling portion (203) of the gateway server unit sets up encryption communication between a content server unit (300) and the gateway server unit in response to this, the content server unit encrypts data to be transmitted to the client system and then transmits it to the gateway server unit, and an encryption communication controlling portion of the gateway server unit decrypts this data and transmits it to the client system.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2000Date of Patent: March 16, 2004Assignees: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., Matsushita Communication Industrial Co., Ltd., NTT DoCoMo, Inc.Inventors: Seiji Ura, Yoshifumi Yonemoto, Hiromi Wada, Junji Ishigaki, Masaharu Nakatsuchi, Keizaburo Sasaki

Publication number: 20030131361Abstract: An address storage section 12 stores addresses and their attribute data included in received broadcast. An address extracting section 14 extracts one or more addresses to be transmitted from the received addresses based on the state of a broadcast receiving apparatus 210 managed by a state managing section 13 and received attribute data. For transmission of the extracted addresses, update information associated with the addresses is transmitted from a transmitting/receiving section 16 to a transmitting/receiving section 26. An information terminal 220 immediately displays the addresses extracted by the broadcast receiving apparatus 210 on a screen. In accordance with an instruction from a user, the information terminal 220 retrieves information from a Web server 42. An address editing section 27 edits any of the addresses and their attribute data stored in the address storage section 12.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2002Publication date: July 10, 2003Inventors: Masayuki Yamamoto, Seiji Ura, Hideaki Fukushima, Hidehiko Shin
