The method includes the steps of receiving an incoming telephone call from a user, forming a plurality of databases, wherein the plurality of databases includes at least one sentence registered to individual user, receiving at least one user information item via the incoming telephone call, searching at least one of the plurality of databases for at least one sentence correspondent to the at least one information item, outputting, according the step of searching, a translation, from at least one of the plurality of databases, of the at least one sentence correspondent to the at least one information item, and outputting, in audio on the incoming telephone call, the translation of the at least one sentence correspondent to the at least one information item.

Abstract: A speech interpretation server, and a method for providing a speech interpretation service, are disclosed. The server includes a speech input for receiving an inputted speech in a first language from a mobile terminal, a speech recognizer that receives the inputted speech and converts the inputted speech into a prescribed symbol string, a language converter that converts the inputted speech converted into the prescribed symbol string into a second language, wherein the second language is different from the first language, and a speech output that outputs the second language to the mobile terminal.

Abstract: An interpretation service for voice based on sentence template retrieval allows a translation database to be customized without burdening users and enables sentences needed by users to be accurately interpreted. A sentence to be stored in a translation database for customization can be described as a sentence template including a slot which allows words to be replaced. A condition for selecting sentence templates is extracted from a registered user profile (UP). A sentence template matching the condition is retrieved from those stored in the translation database for customization and is registered in a translation database customized for each user. A word extracted from the UP is inserted into the sentence template's slot for registration to a sentence dictionary customized for each user.

Abstract: A method and system are provided which, in a program recording apparatus which performs recording of television programs, enable even those users who are inexperienced in operating machines to simply, directly and flexibly perform a program recording reservation operation and a recorded program viewing operation. An association is first made between position information on a paper or sheet with program information, and the user inputs a program specification using a program schedule and a digital pen. The information input by the pen is converted to program information, and a program recording reservation is made. If the recorded program list is printed out or various content lists are used, program playback and content management can be performed with greater ease.

Abstract: A broadcast information delivering system which includes a plurality of wireless terminals and a wireless base station having a transmitter for transmitting broadcast control information to a control channel, and a transmitter for transmitting a broadcast frame to a broadcast channel in accordance with a transmission condition defined in the broadcast control information. The broadcast frame includes a plurality of sub-frames containing different contents information to each other and a frame header including guidance information of the contents information. Each of the wireless terminals includes a receiver for receiving the control information from the control channel, and a receiver for receiving the broadcast frame from the broadcast channel based on the broadcast control information and selectively receiving the contents information in a specific one of said sub-frames in accordance with the guidance information of the broadcast frame.

Abstract: A print head travelled lengthwise with respect to a cylindrical rotary drum provided on its outer periphery with a plurality of ridges extending parallel to the axis has two or more print hammers electromagnetically driven. The print hammers are arranged parallel to one another at a distance corresponding to a horizontal pitch of a dot matrix and are changeably driven with intervals which the corresponding ridge of the drum requires to move a vertical pitch of the dot matrix. Further, in order to avoid a bad influence of a nonuniformity of rotation of the drum to the printing quality, the print hammers have a plurality of bumps for forming dots on the respective striking surfaces and each of the ridges has a periphery surface of a width greater than a thickness of the print hammer.
