  • Patent number: 10569312
Abstract: An excess sprayed coating removal device for removing excess sprayed coatings adhering to the inner surface of a crank chamber of a multi-cylinder engine includes: a rotatable nozzle inserted in a first small chamber, movable in a direction parallel to the axial direction of a cylinder bore communicating with the first small chamber, and jets high-pressure water toward the leading end side thereof; and at least a single of shields that are each inserted into a second small chamber adjacent to the first small chamber to face into a communication hole, the shields protecting from the high-pressure water a sprayed coating sprayed on the inner surface of the cylinder bore communicating with the second small chamber. The shields have a block portion in a region facing into the communication hole, the block portion configured to shut the high-pressure water jetted from the nozzle and passes through the communication hole.
