  • Patent number: 6811387
Abstract: There are provided an injection molding machine 10 having a screw 7 that can be moved in a cylinder 5, a pressure commanding device for generating a pressure command value applied to the screw 7, a pressure sensor 12 for sensing a pressure applied to the screw 7, a pressure subtracter 22 for calculating a deviation value between the pressure command value of the pressure commanding device and a sensed value of the pressure sensor 12, a pressure amplifier 201 for amplifying the deviation value of the pressure subtracter 22 at a predetermined amplification factor and changing an amplification factor value based on a pressure value of the pressure sensor 12, and a servo motor 14 driven based on an output value of the pressure amplifier 201 to move the screw 7.

  • Patent number: 5646492
Abstract: A controller for an electric motor, wherein a differential signal for a speed instruction signal is obtained by a differential circuit, a control signal is obtained by a first speed control circuit, and both signals are summed to obtain a first torque signal. A simulated speed signal is obtained from the first torque signal by a torque simulating circuit and a mechanical system simulating circuit. A second torque signal is obtained by a second speed control circuit. The first and second torque signals are summed by an adder to obtain a torque instruction signal, and the electric motor is controlled so that the generated torque follows the torque instruction signal.

  • Patent number: 5602544
Abstract: An absolute encoder which is operative to provide a plurality of signals indicating a current position, that signal including a least significant bit whose edge is detected and used as a basis for adjusting the current value under a variety of circumstances, typically based on the speed of the encoder. If the encoder is operating at high speed, a predetermined value may be assigned to the current position, while if operating at low speed, the value may be edge settable at least once at speeds below a limit value.

  • Patent number: 5442273
Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling driving of a apparatus such as a motor. A signal representing the position and/or velocity of the motor is received by a drive control unit. A microprocessor in the drive control unit provides a division ratio signal and a rotation judging signal to a clock pulse divider and two-phase pulse generator, respectively, and also calculates the velocity of the apparatus in accordance with the condition data. The clock pulse divider divides a clock pulse signal in accordance with the division ratio signal and outputs a divided clock pulse signal. The two-phase pulse generator generates two-phase pulses having a 90-degree phase shift of a given polarity with respect to one another in accordance with the divided pulse signal, and reverses the polarity of the phase shift in accordance with the rotation judging signal. The microprocessor further outputs a control signal to control driving of the apparatus in accordance with the calculated velocity and the two-phase pulses.

  • Patent number: 5414336
Abstract: A system for inverter control of a servo motor where in the inverter is connected to a velocity control section and a position detection section is connected to the servo motor. Primary and back-up power for operating the velocity control section and the position detection section is provided by power sources that are located in the velocity control section and are connected to the position detection section by cables. The cables used to provide signal transmission between the position detecting section and the velocity control section are switched by relays to transmit the power of a power failure back-up power supply at the time of a power failure. Also, a transmission signal transmitted from one of the position detecting section and the velocity control section to the other via a first cable connection is returned via a second cable connection and a connection fault may be judged depending on whether or not the return signal matches the transmission signal.

  • Patent number: 5307549
Abstract: A machine tool for performing drilling operations at a high speed on a rotating workpiece and for subsequently performing threading operations while minimizing loss time due to speed changes, based upon synchronization of the workpiece with tools that separately perform the drilling and threading operations. During the performance of the drilling operation, a high speed rotation of the workpiece is maintained and workpiece position is detected. The tapping tool is rotated to a similar high speed and is synchronized with the rotating workpiece in both rotational velocity and position. Upon completion of the drilling operation, tapping is performed and subsequent drilling operations may be resumed promptly. Since synchronization has been achieved, the switching between drilling and tapping operations may be obtained with little loss time.
