  • Patent number: 7357379
Abstract: A vibration isolating bushing including: an elastic body disposed in between and elastically connecting an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve. The elastic body has two pairs of axial bores diametrically opposed to each other and axially extends therethrough between the inner and outer sleeves to be independent of each other, and is circumferentially divided in terms of stress transmission by the two pairs of axial bores into two pairs of segments diametrically opposed to each other. Two diametric lines, extending in directions in which the two pairs of axial bores are respectively opposed to each other, intersect obliquely so that the two pairs of segments are made different from each other in their circumferential lengths for differentiating spring characteristics of the bushing in two diametric directions in which said two pairs of segments are opposed to each other, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070296128
Abstract: A rubber vibration damping device including: a main rubber elastic body that connects together a first mounting member and a second mounting member; and a stopper mechanism that limits in cushionwise fashion relative displacement of the first mounting member and the second mounting member by means of contact of a pair of contact faces thereof. A stopper rubber is formed on each of the pair of contact faces in the stopper mechanism and a multitude of parallel grooves and lands are formed on the respective contact faces, with the grooves and lands on one of the contact faces and the grooves and lands on an other of the contact faces oriented in directions intersecting one another.

  • Patent number: 6883653
Abstract: A dynamic damper for damping vibration of a rotary shaft. The dynamic damper includes a tubular mass member and a rubber elastic member. The rubber elastic member includes an attachment tube press-fitted onto the rotary shaft and an arm. The attachment tube is disposed coaxially with the mass member but nearer to an axial center thereof than the mass member. The arm connects the attachment tube to the mass member. The attachment tube includes a tubular support portion connected to the arm, a tubular attachment portion, and a tubular coupling portion for coupling the tubular support portion with the tubular attachment portion. The tubular attachment portion has larger interference than the tubular support portion.

  • Patent number: 6817599
Abstract: Disclosed is a vibration damping bushing comprising: an inner and outer sleeve fixable to a first and a second component, respectively; an elastic body having a tubular main body portion interposed between the inner and outer sleeves and a pair of flange portions integrally formed at axial end portions of the main body portion, which extends radially outwardly and is laminated on axial end faces of the outer sleeve; and a deformation resistant portion provided for at least one flange portion over a given circumferential length, projecting axially outwardly to be opposed to a member of the first component with a spacing therebetween. Due to radial compressive deformation of the main body portion, the flange portion undergoes elastic deformation toward the member of the first component so that the deformation resistant portion comes into contact with the member of the first component to increase resistance to the radial compressive deformation of the main body portion.

  • Publication number: 20040017034
Abstract: A vibration isolating bushing includes: a main shaft member having a tubular portion, a flange portion, and a block portion; an outer cylinder member disposed coaxially with the main shaft member; and a rubber elastic body disposed between the main shaft member and the outer cylinder member. The rubber elastic body includes a hollow portion opening in an end face away from the flange portion and extends in the axial direction up to the vicinity of an end face on a side of the flange portion. The rubber elastic body further includes: a non-deforming rubber portion positioned between the flange portion and the block portion being substantially undeformable by an axial load; and a connecting portion for connecting the non-deforming rubber portion and an inner peripheral surface of an end portion of the outer cylinder member.

  • Patent number: 6682060
Abstract: A dynamic damper includes a cylindrical mass metal element, a cylindrical elastic-body attachment portion, a cylindrical elastic-body connection portion, and an elastic-body covering portion. The elastic-body attachment portion is formed from a rubber elastic body and coaxially disposed inside the mass metal element while a predetermined radial distance is maintained therebetween. The elastic-body connection portion is formed from a rubber elastic body and disposed between the mass metal element and the elastic-body attachment portion so as to connect them. The elastic-body covering portion covers the outer circumferential surface of the mass metal element. The elastic-body connection portion and the elastic-body covering portion are not bonded to the mass metal element. A plurality of protrusions are formed and arranged circumferentially on the inner circumferential surface of the mass metal element.
