    Abstract: According to an example, a receiver having a physical (PHY) layer may receive a portion of a frame from a transmitter, in which the portion of the frame comprises information available at the PHY layer. A signature of the transmitter may be determined based upon the information available at the PHY layer and a hardware component in the PHY layer may determine whether to continue to receive the frame based upon the determined signature of the transmitter.

    Abstract: According to an example, a target channel in a set of channels for a wireless communication may be identified through use of a model. Particularly, performance information of the channels in the set of channels may be accessed over a plurality of time intervals. In addition, an identification of which of the channels in the set of channels has a highest performance level for each of the plurality of time intervals may be made and a model correlating the performance information of the plurality of channels and the channel having the highest performance level over the plurality of time intervals may be developed.
