  • Publication number: 20220347267
Abstract: The present invention provides methods to improve a cancer patient's response to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy, and functional test to predict likelihood of response. Specifically, the invention provides methods to improve patient's response to immune checkpoint inhibitors using modulators and to predict response to the combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors and modulators.

  • Publication number: 20220339257
Abstract: This invention relates to methods of increasing the sensitivity of tumors to anti cancer therapies including antibody therapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and therapies targeting cell signaling pathways such as the MAPK and PI3K pathways and receptor tyrosine kinases (e.g. EGFR). By increasing sensitivity of tumors to these agents, this invention will: (a)Prolong response in already responsive subjects; (b) Increase response rates by converting non-responsive patients into responsive patients; (c) Reverse treatment-induced resistance of tumors to anticancer therapy; and (d) Decrease treatment-associated toxicities by decreasing therapy dosages required for response. The invention also describes predictive tests, to identify patients most likely to respond to the combination treatments.

  • Publication number: 20100300102
Abstract: A method includes receiving fuel and air into a cup of a turbine fuel nozzle. The method also includes mixing the fuel and air at least partially within the cup. In addition, the method includes directing a fuel air mixture toward a turbine combustor. The method also includes shielding an inner wall of the cup with a blanket of a protective fluid flow to reduce the possibility of flame holding along the inner wall. The protective fluid flow excludes a combustible mixture of fuel and air.
