  • Patent number: 9176198
Abstract: A battery model and equivalent circuit that includes an ohmic resistance, a first RC-pair that models a battery cell charge transfer reaction and double layer processes and a second RC-pair that models battery cell diffusion. Each of the ohmic resistance, the charge transfer reaction resistance and the diffusion resistance in the model are variable resistances, where each resistance changes in response to a change in voltage potential across the resistance.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 17, 2012
Date of Patent: November 3, 2015
Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLC
Inventors: Brian J. Koch, Krishnan S. Hariharan, Senthil K. Vadivelu
  • Publication number: 20130309588
Abstract: One embodiment may include an integrated fuel supply and cooling system for a fuel cell including a fuel cell stack and a fuel cell stack cooling system; a cryo-adsorber including a bed of particles for adsorbing hydrogen fluid; wherein the cryo-adsorber may be in heat transfer communication with the fuel cell stack cooling system and in fluid communication with the fuel cell stack.
