Abstract: A method for a Personal Network Entity (PNE) to individually join a desired Personal Network (PN) is provided. When the PNE transmits a PN connection request message to a PN gateway, the PN gateway inserts its information into the connection request message and forwards the connection request message to a Converged Personal Network Service (CPNS) server. The CPNS server, upon receipt of the connection request message through the PN gateway, generates and manages information about a PN related to the PN gateway. The information about the PN is provided to the PNE at execution of authentication with the PNE, such that the PNE can determine whether to join the PN.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for uploading/submitting user-created content to share with other users in a Dynamic Content Delivery (DCD) technology capable of supporting various types of delivery systems to deliver user-customized content. The invention provides an environment where a user creates content according to a predetermined rule and submits the content with associated content information, so that a DCD service provider can easily handle the content after receipt.

Abstract: A method of authenticating a Personal Network Entity (PNE) is provided. The method includes transmitting a PNE serial number (SNPNE) to a CPNS (Converged Personal Network Service) server by a Personal Network GateWay (PN GW); storing an authentication value chain of a PNE transmitted from the CPNS server and an inherent assignment key (TKPNE) that is secret information of a corresponding PNE; encrypting a selected authentication value from among the authentication value chain with the inherent assignment key of the corresponding PNE to transmit the encrypted authentication value to the corresponding PNE and storing the encrypted authentication value in the corresponding PNE; and performing an authentication procedure between the corresponding PNE and the CPNS server by using the encrypted authentication value stored in the PNE.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a location information service using a mobile code in a Mobile Station (MS) are provided. The method includes obtaining a mobile code scanned by an input device of the MS; acquiring location information if the location information is included in the obtained mobile code; matching coordinates of the acquired location information on a first cyber map in the MS if cyber map information corresponding to the coordinates of the acquired location information is included in the first cyber map in the MS; and if the cyber map information corresponding to the coordinates of the acquired location information is not included in the first cyber map in the MS, updating the first cyber map with cyber map information corresponding to coordinates of corresponding location information obtained from a second cyber map in a server and matching the acquired location information on the updated first cyber map.

Abstract: A method for providing an application-related MO parameter value is provided. The method includes, as an application processing unit requests an application-related Management Object (MO) parameter value or requests a change thereof, directly creating an MO corresponding to the request through a Device Management (DM) client which receives the request, an MO corresponding to the request, or receiving related data, e.g. software, firmware, and the like, to create an MO corresponding to the request of the application processing unit, from a DM server or a management authority unit; and transferring an MO parameter value corresponding to the request to the application processing unit according to a reception scheme determined by the application processing unit. Since an application-related MO parameter value is directly requested and provided, a function or service which can be provided in real time is optimized.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a location information service using a mobile code in a Mobile Station (MS). The method includes scanning, by an input device of the MS, a mobile code; analyzing identifier information of the scanned mobile code; determining whether the identifier information corresponds to other information stored in the MS; if the identifier information corresponds to other information stored in the MS, acquiring location information, to be matched on a first cyber map in the MS, corresponding to the identifier information; matching the acquired location information on the first cyber map and displaying the matched first cyber map on an output device of the MS; and calculating a moving distance and a path using at least one location corresponding to the acquired location information.

Abstract: Provided are a method and an apparatus for providing a service based on Personal Network Entity (PNE) components and resources within an apparatus without implementing a function of generating and managing a service group only in a case in which a plurality of PNEs provide a similar function by providing a function of generating and managing the service group based on components included in a network apparatus or resources with the apparatus in an environment providing a Converged Personal Network Service (CPNS) service. Accordingly, it is possible to avoid inefficient overlapping developments and operations and prevent resources from being wasted.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing a service to heterogeneous service terminals without modifying a security framework are provided, in which a gateway that controls a first service terminal transmits a right delegation request to a server in order to provide the service to a second service terminal as well, and upon receipt of a service right verification request from the second service terminal after receiving a right delegation certificate from the server, the gateway transmits a service right verification response including the right delegation certificate to the second service terminal.

Abstract: A method for a user to receive an advertisement directly reflecting the user's liking. When a client registers event information set by a user into a server, the server provides a corresponding advertisement by retrieving if there exist advertisements corresponding to the event information registered into that server. Also, the client registers both event information and preference information into the server considering the liking of the user. By doing this, the user can receive an advertisement directly reflecting his liking. Also, the user information can be protected by only outputting the information into a mobile terminal.
