Abstract: Disclosed are a system and method for controlling a lighting device for a steering wheel. The system includes the lighting device mounted on the steering wheel and configured to be selectively turned on in order to indicate left/right directions of a vehicle, and a controller configured, upon receiving a request for turning on of the lighting device, to control turn-on operation of the lighting device such that left/right lighting directions of the lighting device are identical to the left/right directions of the vehicle when the angular position of the steering wheel is within a first steering angle range encompassing a steering angle neutral position and such that the left/right lighting directions of the lighting device are opposite the left/right directions of the vehicle when the angular position of the steering wheel is within an inverted steering angle range vertically inverted from the normal steering angle range.

Abstract: Disclosed are an airbag for a seat capable of quickly and safely supporting an occupant's body parts in order to reduce the risk of injury to the occupant and a method of controlling deployment thereof. The airbag includes an airbag cushion configured to be deployed so as to cover areas ahead of and above a seat, an active wire connected between each of two side surfaces of the seat and a respective one of two side surfaces of the airbag cushion, an active mechanism configured to generate force of pulling the active wire connected to the airbag cushion toward an occupant, and a controller configured to apply an operation command to the active mechanism during operation of the airbag to control the active mechanism to pull the active wire so that the airbag cushion is pulled toward the occupant.

A coupling hole extends through the steering wheel in a front-rear direction. A hook extends from the airbag module through the coupling hole to protrude from a rear surface of the steering wheel. A bend on a distal end of the hook is bent in a direction intersecting a longitudinal direction of the hook. A fixing clip blocks the movement of the hook in a forward direction of the steering wheel, with first end being fixed to the steering wheel, and the second end being caught by the bend of the hook. A fixing recess is indented into the steering wheel, thereby allowing the second end of the fixing clip to move in the forward direction of the steering wheel.

Abstract: A driver airbag apparatus for a vehicle is proposed. The driver airbag apparatus includes: the driver airbag apparatus being located at a rear of a steering wheel having an obstacle and configured to be deployed forward of the steering wheel while avoiding the obstacle, an airbag cushion configured to be deployed forward of the steering wheel via a gap between the obstacle and the steering wheel when gas is supplied thereinto; a gas injector located below the airbag cushion and configured to inject the gas into the airbag cushion via a gas outlet; and a diffuser configured to be deployed in the airbag cushion, and covering a part or all of the gas outlet from above the gas outlet and being open at a front portion thereof so as to guide the gas injected via the gas outlet to flow in front of an occupant.
