The method includes charging a supported catalyst into a continuous reactor and adding a catalyst activating material thereto to activate the supported catalyst, feeding an oil or fat, hydrogen and a supercritical fluid into the continuous reactor and allowing hydrogenation and hydrodeoxygenation reactions of the oil or fat in the supercritical fluid to proceed, and collecting a renewable fuel as the reaction product. The method enables the production of an oxygen-free renewable fuel in a higher yield at a lower hydrogen pressure and a lower reaction temperature than conventional methods for producing renewable fuels.
