    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to generate tomography images that performs the method. The apparatus and method are configured to determine a basis pattern from modulated phases of incident rays from a spatial light modulator according to a pattern of arranged pixels. The apparatus and method are further configured to perform spatial shift modulation shifting an arrangement of the pixels vertically or horizontally with respect to the basis pattern to obtain shift patterns of the basis pattern. The apparatus and method are configured to generate tomography images for the basis pattern and the shift patterns using spectrum signals of rays obtained from the incident rays passing through the spatial light modulator and entering a subject. The apparatus and method are configured to select a pattern that generates a clearest tomography image of the subject based on the generated tomography images.

The first filter unit is configured to pass light corresponding to a visible light region, pass light corresponding to a first region of a longer wavelength than the light corresponding to the visible region and cut off light corresponding to a second region of a longer wavelength than the light corresponding to the first region. The second filter unit is configure to pass light having a predetermined wavelength in a wavelength range corresponding to the visible light region among the light passing through the first filter unit and pass light corresponding to the first region. The sensor unit is configured to detect the light passing through the second filter unit.

    Abstract: Provided are an image brightness controlling apparatus and method, and an adaptive brightness controlling apparatus and method based on the brightness degree and/or brightness range of an image. The image brightness controlling apparatus includes a brightness increment arithmetic unit for outputting a brightness increment for a pixel, and an individual component brightness increment arithmetic unit for outputting the brightness increments of individual components constituting the pixel in response to the brightness increment for a pixel. The individual component brightness increment arithmetic unit multiplies the brightness increment of the pixel by each of the unit vectors of the components constituting the pixel to obtain the brightness increments of the individual components. The image brightness controlling apparatus further includes an adder for adding the components constituting the pixel to the brightness increments of the components.
