  • Publication number: 20240170687
Abstract: A catalyst for fuel cells and a method of manufacturing the catalyst are disclosed. The catalyst forms shells in a dense structure so as to prevent elution of a transition metal and increases dispersibility through hydrophilization of the surface of the catalyst so as to be uniformly dispersed when an ink for forming a fuel cell electrode is manufactured. The catalyst may thus increase the performance and durability of a fuel cell.

  • Publication number: 20240128475
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a catalyst may modify a carbon layer structure by using various heat treatment gases such as inert gas (Ar), hydrogen, and carbon monoxide in a carbon layer manufacturing process, thereby optimizing the carbon layer structure according to the purpose of a metal without changing a size of the metal.

  • Publication number: 20220209271
Abstract: Disclosed are a radical scavenger, a method for preparing same, and a membrane-electrode assembly containing same, wherein the radical scavenger can maintain the performance of a fuel cell for a long time and enhance the lifespan thereof since the elution of metal ions derived from radical scavenging particles during fuel cell operation can be continuously prevented for a long time. The radical scavenger of the present invention comprises: radical scavenging particles; and a porous protective film on the surface of the radical scavenging particles, wherein the porous protective film comprises at least one material of high oxidative stability selected from the group consisting of silica, carbon nitride, heteroatom-doped graphene, a porphyrin-based compound, a phenazine-based compound, and derivatives thereof.
