  • Patent number: 9921323
Abstract: The present invention relates to a 3D seismic marine survey apparatus. More particularly, it relates to a foldable-fixing type 3D seismic survey apparatus for a small ship and a method of 3D seismic survey using the foldable-fixing type 3D seismic survey apparatus. The foldable-fixing type 3D seismic survey apparatus for a small ship includes: a seismic wave generator; and a seismic unit that includes a plurality of floating board units, and foldable fixing-frames connecting and fixing the floating board units to each other in a floating board array such that relative positions of the floating board units are fixed, and being folded for transporting and unfolded for installing, in which the seismic unit receives 3D seismic waves while being towed behind the seismic wave generator after being moved and unfolded at a survey location.

  • Patent number: 9714930
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for measuring salinity of interstitial water in a soil sample, the apparatus including: an air supplier that generates a stream of high-pressure air; an air nozzle from which the high-pressure air, supplied from the air supplier, is ejected; a soil-compressing tank into which the high-pressure air, ejected from the air nozzle, is introduced and which compresses a soil sample contained therein to squeeze interstitial water from the soil sample; and a water tank which collects and stores the interstitial water drained from the soil-compressing tank and in which a salinity-measuring sensor for measuring salinity is installed to measure salinity of the interstitial water.

  • Publication number: 20150234080
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method of processing marine data and a processing apparatus for the same. The processing method according to the present invention comprises obtaining a per-profile initial total magnetic anomaly from raw data; obtaining a filtered total magnetic anomaly by filtering out a high-frequency component from the initial total magnetic anomaly; obtaining a reference corrected total magnetic anomaly by correcting the filtered total magnetic anomaly with respect to a reference total magnetic anomaly; and showing a per-profile total magnetic anomaly using the reference corrected total magnetic anomaly.

  • Patent number: 9068309
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for simulating a submarine landslide. The apparatus includes an inclined flume; a plurality of sedimentary layers which are stacked on top of one another in the flume and tapped; water which is charged into the flume on the sedimentary layers in such a way that the surface of the water is formed in the flume; and a plurality of injectors which are provided in a bottom of the flume so as to be movable upwards or downwards with respect to the flume and inject gas or water into the sedimentary layer. The sedimentary layers are changed in pressure and temperature by the gas or water injected from the injectors into the sedimentary layers so that an artificial slope collapse is caused, whereby a water wave is generated in the flume.
