  • Publication number: 20080159600
Abstract: Disclosed is an iris recognition method which is one of biometric technologies. According to a non-contact-type human iris recognition method by correction of a rotated iris image, the iris image is acquired by image acquisition equipment using an infrared illuminator. Inner and outer boundaries of the iris are detected by analyzing differences in pixels of a Canny edge detector and the image for the inputted iris image, so as to allow the boundaries of the iris to be more accurately detected from the eye image of a user. Thus, the iris image with a variety of deformation can be processed into a correct iris image, so that there is an advantage in that a false acceptance rate and a false rejection rate can be markedly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20030201055
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a laminated LC filter, the method involving the steps of forming capacitor and inductor parts through separate sintering processes and then bonding the two parts using a glass-based adhesive. The use of the present method can solve problems of delamination and shape deformation caused by the difference in shrinkages occurring during a co-sintering process of the dielectric layer constituting the capacitor part and the magnetic layer constituting the inductor part. Also, since the method dose not use any extra buffer layer, there is no need to consider the shrinkage reduction and the composition of the buffer layer, and so the compositions of the dielectric and magnetic layers can be freely designed.

  • Publication number: 20020150281
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of recognizing the human iris using the Daubechies wavelet transform. The dimensions of characteristic vectors are initially reduced by extracting iris features from the inputted iris image signals through the Daubechies wavelet transform. Then, the binary characteristic vectors are generated by applying quantization functions to the extracted characteristic values so that the utility of human iris recognition can be improved as the storage capacity and processing time thereof can be reduced by generating low capacity characteristic vectors. By measuring the similarity between the generated characteristic vectors and the previously registered characteristic vectors, characteristic vectors indicative of the iris patterns can be realized.

  • Patent number: 6208849
Abstract: A receiver with suppressed intermodulation distortion for a radio communication terminal. In the receiver, a low noise amplifier for amplifying a received signal, has an operating power being increased in response to a first control signal to reduce an intermodulation distortion signal. An RF bandpass filter bandpass-filters the signals in a reception frequency band out of the signals output from the low noise amplifier. A mixer mixes an output of the RF bandpass filter with a local oscillation signal to generate an intermediate frequency signal by down-converting the output of the RF bandpass filter. An intermediate frequency amplifier for amplifying the intermediate frequency signal output from the mixer, and having an operating power being increased to reduce the intermodulation distortion signal in response to a second control signal. An intermediate frequency bandpass filter bandpass-filters an intermediate frequency signal out of the signals output from the intermediate frequency amplifier.
