    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first light-source element and a first light-guide plate on the substrate. The display apparatus includes a second light-source element and a second light-guide plate. The second light-source element may be configured to be turned on or off depending on a narrow viewing mode or a wide viewing mode. A display panel on the second light-guide plate may be configured to receive light and generate an image, the display panel including a first display area and a second display area. The display apparatus includes a viewing angle control unit between the first light-guide plate and the second light-guide plate. A first area of the viewing angle control unit may overlap the first display area of the display panel, and the viewing angle control unit may include at least one or more light-blocking patterns extending in a first direction in the first area.
