  • Patent number: 10566801
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include (1) a power distribution module that (A) distributes power to a network device that forwards traffic within a network and (B) includes a series of interlock blocks keyed to (I) enable power supply modules whose electrical ratings satisfy a certain threshold to be installed to the network device and (II) prevent other power supply modules whose electrical ratings do not satisfy the certain threshold from being installed to the network device and (2) at least one power supply module that (A) has an electrical rating that satisfies the certain threshold, (B) includes a flange that is keyed to fit between the interlock blocks of the power distribution module, and when installed to the network device by way of the power distribution module, (C) provides power to the network device that forwards traffic within the network. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10345874
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include (1) a ganged heatsink base that (A) absorbs heat dissipated by a plurality of electronic components that consume differing amounts of power and (B) includes a plurality of thermal regions dedicated to absorbing the heat dissipated by the plurality of electronic components and (2) at least one thermal isolation engine that (A) is incorporated into the ganged heatsink base, (B) separates the plurality of thermal regions from one another, and (C) localizes the heat dissipated by the plurality of electronic components by maintaining at least some of the heat dissipated by one of the electronic components within the thermal region that absorbed the at least some of the heat such that the at least some of the heat does not migrate to another thermal region included in the ganged heatsink base. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9788454
Abstract: The disclosed apparatus may include (1) a housing designed to house a field-replaceable unit within a telecommunication system, (2) a connector that is designed to electrically interface the field-replaceable unit with the telecommunication system in the housing, (3) a spring that is coupled to the housing, and (4) a movable injection cam that is coupled to the spring such that, when the field-replaceable unit is installed in the housing by way of an ejection lever that presses against the movable injection cam, the spring applies a force on the movable injection cam that causes the movable injection cam to push the field-replaceable unit toward the connector. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
