    Abstract: A batch-type polyester polymerization apparatus manufactured by assembling a conventional batch-type apparatus with a thin film tower. The batch-type polyester polymerization apparatus is advantageous in that oligomer is polymerized while forming a polyester thin film on each inclined plate of a thin film tower, and a polycondensation reaction is conducted in a polycondensation reactor as well as the thin film tower, thus greatly reducing polymerization time.
